Default Anyone willing to mentor in Bay Area, CA?

    Hey girls!

I am a newbie in the SF Bay Area in California. I just turned 18 recently, though I have been "looking into" dancing for a little over a year. I feel like I have a good grasp on what to expect but I am still nervous to just jump into it without any help and without anyone to guide me. I am in the process of getting both my mind and body in shape... I am hoping to be fit and confident enough by late spring/early summer for my first audition.

Anyways that's the short story... if anyone is willing to take a "baby" under their wing and meet a new friend I would be very grateful

Welcome around! You really don't need a mentor or someone to "baby" you to get involved in dancing. You've already found this forum, and it'll teach you everything you need to know about auditioning, dancing, hustling, and everything in between. FWIW, I'd be leery of anyone who jumps at the opportunity to "mentor" you, especially in this industry - it's an easy way to fall prey to a pimp or catty dancer who is going to try and make you look/act bad to decrease her competition. You've got to look out for yourself in this industry because no one else is going to.

oh yikes, I don't live in sf but when I did the girls were really ghetto, most had pimps, almost all did extras. lol. I wouldn't recommend getting trained by any of those girls.

anyway, all the clubs do auditions every day after 7. I worked at gold club the most but the last time I was there it had gone significantly downhill. I don't think it's a good place for a newbie. stick to the broadway clubs (besides cf) for your first club. some of the small nude clubs over there are gold mines. they don't require a schedule either unlike the rest of the clubs. i made bank at 20s and lds. they hire some pretty ugly and fat girls too so if you are a 7/10 or higher you'll attract the good customers easily.
