Reminds me of Necki Minaj

Ever heard of Roman Polanski? It is a guy's name but if you like it a lot you could try and soften it up somehow.

I say go for it. I have a cousin named James (she's a female, her parents are strange) and guys think it's hot. I wouldn't let the fact that it's traditionally a male name bother me. Things change Whitney, Leslie, Hilary, Ashely and Marion were all male names once upon a time.

i adore the name roman. never thought of it for a girl, but i think it would work! as long as it wouldn't be associated with nicki minaj as another member pointed out i think its unique but classy

I have a soft sport for male names on fems .... Sam , Bobby , Billy , Beni etc Can't say it works the same for me the other way round , and a man with a fem name I don't find as alluring![]()
Well You heard it here first, I'm 99% sure I'm retiring the name Jessie Jay because in search results, I just get lost because the name is too common.
I'm giving it a day or two more to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be Roman Embers from now on![]()

It's sounds good but hasn't Embers been used before?
The first thing that springs to mind is how Nero fiddled while Rome burned (as in embers)...it's just an association but one that others may make.

^Yeah, I know of a popular model who uses Embers in her name. I'd be pissed if someone stole a part of my name. Actually, someone did, and even spelled it "Raine" like I do. I thought it was tacky for her to rip off part of my name like that, especially considering that we are on the same site and she knew me from here before she joined and created that screen name.
I love Roman as a boy's name, it is very strong. But, unless you are a domme or butch I don't know how receptive guys would be to it. They tend to like girly names and cutesy names. Roman might scare them off, it sounds rather unsexy for a girl.

I LOVE it!
Roman embers definitely makes me think of the fall of Rome though - not sure if that is an association you want. If it is, awesome!
As for "stealing" names - I really only think that you can be annoyed if someone steals your ENTIRE name, or a very close approximation. So if someone called themselves Kortney Rayne, yeah, Courtney Raine should be pissed! Or if someone started calling themselves Scarletta More I would be furious! But just the last or first name? C'mon, there are a limited number of common adult industry names that come up time and time again - I worked with a Ryan Raine, who has been working for over a decade! I've worked with multiple women with Coxx as a last name, and I know that Moore is a common porn last name. I think it is only annoying if someone has clearly tried to take from you, or is trying to piggyback on a REALLY famous porn star's name - like Jameson, Banks, Grey, Angel....those should be left alone, imho.

I think if youre very feminine, like petite and oozing lady powers you could play off a masculine name...and in that way, it kind of gives me the butterflies. But if you look like Bea Author...not hot
But hey, this is coming from someone who was *this* close to naming her daughter George. I was soooo close.
I still call her that sometimes...or if I forget someones name, I call them George, whether they are male of female.![]()
Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink!
I think I thought the "name stealing" was tacky because I had spoken to this person several times here on SW answering her questions about the site I'm on, sharing my experiences, and encouraging her to join and try it. So when she did join and took part of my name it was just like, damn. Okay. Kind of obvious that she took it directly from me since we talked about the site so much, and our conversations are what encouraged her to finally sign up. So the fact that she had to take not only my advice but a part of my name in order to get started, once again, tacky. If I didn't know the girl I wouldn't have given a rat's bottom.
Roman Embers does kind of give me an image of ancient fire and carnage. I think it would take a strong personality to pull it off but if you can, more power to you!
And I LOVE the name Georgie for a girl! I'm all for girls with cutesy "boy" names. My real name is actually unisex, if I ever met a guy with my name I'd think it would be a turn off but if I met a girl with the name Georgie, Billy, Dylan, Sam, etc. I'd think it super cute.

I love male names on females. My stage name is unisex and I love it! I think that Roman Embers is very sexy and memorable. When I think of females with male names I immediately think of James King. She is extremely hot. Also, my favorite stripper at the local club's name is Tyler.

Maybe she was so grateful for your help and so inspired by you that she wanted to use your last name as sort of a tribute to you? Like she can call herself your sister or something on cam and be like "hey if you like me, you'll LOVE my sister Courtney". Though if that was the case it would have probably been good for her to ask you first. I guess I'm just saying maybe the intention wasn't to "rip off" your name but to acknowledge you.

I think you could pull that name off really wellit suits you!
That's what I try to tell myself, that it was done as homage. I have never had anyone referred to me by her, though. Lol. Like ManyRoses said, there are bound to be partial repeats in this name in this business. I think as long as you pick a name that suits YOU, you'll be fine. I actually love my cam name (it's not CourtneyRaine, that's only my MGF name and I actualy hate it, heh). Even though there are a lot of girls who share my cam name because it's a common first name, I love the name I paired it with and I feel it suits me perfectly. My cam name makes me feel sexy and real, which is what I like to feel on cam.
It's amazing how a name can define how people see us, and how we see ourselves.

I changed my legal name because my given name, well TECHNICALLY suited me, but not my personality. But now my real name sounds like a porn or cartoon name!
After reading everything here and asking more people IRL.. I'm not going with Roman because guys seem to think it's stupid. and i am trying to market myself after all...
I think I'll go with Sadie but now I need a good last name. Sadie Gamora? Sadie Embers? I like Embers... I don't care if another model uses that as well. unless she's a BBW I don't think it matters. whoever she is, she's probably not similar to me.

they say that it is easier for people remember names if the first letter are the same for both the first and last name.... like
Roman Rose
Erika Embers
Sadie Sun
^^Roman Rose sounds nice.
Sadie Harlot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
