Rent: $425/mo
Landline/internet: $110/mo
Cell phone: $55/mo
Utilities: $40 or less/mo
Student loan: $55/mo
(I don't have a car, monthly bus pass would be $42 but I walk everywhere)
(I don't have cable, I stream online to save $)
Groceries: $100-200/mo, depending how much I decide to splurge
Pet care, cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc.: $100/mo
BOOZE: $300+/month.
Yes, booze has its own category. Sadly, I'm an alcoholic so it's not an extra. I live in Arizona, about an hour north of the border.
rent: $1020
power: $40-$90 depend
tv: $20 I don't have cable, I never watch TV
internet: $50
car: $350
car insurance: $150
gas: $150
cell: $80
groceries: $300
pet: $60
So about $2,200 a month which is really not bad compared to when I was living in NYC and I didn't even have a car.

Rent- $505
Utilities(water, elec, sewage)- $60-$100...depending on the time of year
Cell Phone- $25
Pet care-$100
...this should go down when my puppy hits a year and I can purchase a year of heartworm for a $70 year from a low cost shot clinic...but for now its $17.50/mo, plus she doesnt eat cheap food...and she will eat less when she's an adult. Plus $30 of it is money that I put into my dog's own "health" saving account..I had a dog who got ill a few years ago and watched my parents spend thousands on her...so hopefully I will have a nice chunk saved up for mine if she develops any issues.
Internet-$70
but this will be going up to $99 in a month when the promotional price is over
Car Insurance-$90
Gas-$100 or usually way less less
...I live in a college town so I rarely use my car and walk/depend on the bus
Food-$200
Alcohol-$50...
Most of this is from the few times I have friends over to party a month...Thank god for TJ's and cheap wine...plus the fact it only takes me about 1 drink to get drunk
Perscription meds- $30
Like courtney I also save money on cable but streaming online but if I didnt know how that'd be an extra $70....I was surprised when I had a few friends come over last week they didnt know how to find movies/tv shows online...I thought everyone did...I have a hdmi cable I bought on newegg so I can hook my laptop straight to my flatscreen and they we in awe....lol
Also Expenses I plan to add...my parents still pay for my insurance...but I'm on an independent plan so I probably will be paying for it myself soon because I don't need them too and would like to be completely independent so that will be about $200/mo but it includes dental + medical
-I will probably be increasing my phone plan too for SMs phone feature so that'll be and extra $15/mon

Rent:$1,880 (covered by Hubby's military career)
Utilities: unsure (included in rent)
Cable/Net/Phone: $150
Car: $389
Insurance: $139
Groceries:$400 included in hubby's military pay, not take home pay(we usually live off $200 lol)
Gas: $100 (we don't go very far)
Vanilla Business Supplies: $50-100 (including products needed, and hosting for my site which I pay monthly)
Business Insurance: Paid every 3-4 months $500 a year split
Entertainment: I do mainly house parties so...$50 a month?
I only pay for the cable/net/phone bill and my supplies and insurance so, it costs me about $300 a month to live lol. Of course, I always spend more on entertainment and eating out. I need to stop eating out so much. Basically, I live worry free thanks to hubby's career for now.

....my problem....I would eat out breakfast, lunch and dinner if i had the chance....
On the flip side though if my boyfriend didn't live with me my grocery budget could probably be cut to $75/month....I have no problem eating the same thing every day..like pasta + alfredo sauce haha...plus I dont eat as much as a 21 year old man....'
The only reason I eat out is pure laziness lol

Rent: £425
Council Tax: £132
Utilities: £87
Internet: £26 (will be more soooon!)
TV Licence: £12
Food: £200ish.
Pet food (I keep fishes!) / travel / phone top-ups / toiletries: £100ish.
= £982ish per month.
I don't drive, I don't own any car, I walk most places, I don't drink or smoke... oh! Although I do confess to the ocaaaaaaaaasional *odd* smoke, lmao.![]()
Rent is $1K. Car payment, insurance, household bills all combined make about another $1K. Groceries & other stuff is about $600-$800 but varies widely. So rounded up, about $3K altogether.
This is for a family of 4 in Canada! We're renting from our in-laws so we have a NICE townhouse for cheap, otherwise rent would likely be $2K+.

I saw your amount and thought, fuck, I need to move back to Florida haha. Yeah, and the thing is, I plan on staying in the area when I do move out. The cheapest I can find is $1,200 and that's room shares and nore more than a 1 bdrm 700sqft apartment or townhome, utilities rarely included. I used to live in Indiana and my rent was $425 for a newly renovated 1bdrm...oh those were the days. And to think all this time I could still be living there and banking.

monthly..
Rent: $400 ( 800, but split with the bf)
utilities : around $150-200
groceries : $200-300
car payment: $186
phone:$45
medication:$800
gas: $200
hair/makeup/nails:$300 at the very least

Okay, who's gonna start a spinner thread to this one? "How much do you WISH it cost for you to "really" live? hehe. Extravagance honies!
Family of 3
Mortgage-$1200
Gas/elec-$250
Water-$40
Phones-$100
Cable/net-$135
Food- $400
Mommy fees- $300 ..gosh it ranges (this month my kid got lady gaga tickts)
Pet care-$150 (my pets plus I take in stray kitties and find them homes)
At the moment it's minimum. Partner paying mortgage and bills, and my mobile contract is in his name. I used the landline this month which came to £24 but that's a one-off.
Petrol (gas!) costs me around £70 a month.. Food about £60-£70 a month (cook from scratch and very thrifty)!
Car maintainence costs me around £400 -£600 a year but I'm selling one of my vehicles so that'll go down mega. Pet food around £10 a month...Vets bills around £300 a year...
Booze &vapes about £40 a week.. I know this is all a bit muddled.
It'll go up soon as I'm renting from a friend when I leave my partner.(sad face for leaving him more than for money-I'll just work more, which'll help me not be sad, if anything)!

mortgage: $200
heating, hot water: $115ish (october-april otherwise it's like $28 for the hot water, and the base fee of the heating even if it's not used)
electric: $25
water: $12
gas (for cooking): $8
internet, tv, telepone (unlimited): $29
student loan: $27
insurance of the flat, trash, lighting, heatin in the block etc: $35
Food, toiletries, cleaning supplies: varies, I'm hunting sales. Like in the past week we only spent like 10$ on food because we stocked up before and I could cook with what we had, for example today I roasted a duck, with potatoes we bought them on sale before 5$ for the duck, 1$ for the potatoes, the freezer is always stocked up with ingredients.
Same with washing powder for example. Last time I bought washing powder it was a year ago for like 25$ a big box on sale, and we still didn't run out of it. Or when there is some buy 1 get 2 sale we stock up for a whole year... Cat food is the same, I buy a 10-20 kg bag of Orijen, which lasts for months.
So for these I cannot say any amount per month it really depends on sale.
I LOVE to see how much I didn't pay. (well this is the problem with clothes sale. I don't care how much I do pay, I only watch how much I don't pay. OMG 30% OFF Look, 30% OFF!!!!!!)
