I've heard a few girls say they did.

I've heard a few girls say they did.

I gained weight lol. But I also gained some more on top of that when I stopped. Its because I used to not eat after like 4pm but for dancing you need to eat so you have energy.
I loose weight due to shedding fat, but then gain it back plus some due to muscle mass. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it's a good trade off! Right now my legs are flabby as hell so I can"t wait for it. Some older customers LOVE Tina Turner legs.

Yes, and it kept me slim too. I didn't notice it til I retired to run my current business...and I gained weight even tho my workouts and diet stayed the same!

I gained weight also. I'm not sure why this happens? Muscle mass maybe. I started as a toothpick and I've had so many compliments on gaining curves since then.

I've had both happen. Lost weight, gained weight (mainly when I was drinking a lot of alcohol at work), and gained muscle/toned up.

Both happened to me also over the span of a year now, lose fat/gain muscle. At this point, I am looking wonderfully toned, my ass is looking better than ever!

I lost but idk how much is attributed to dancing. After I got my BA I turned into Miss Porky 2012. I lost it after a LONG battle.

i lost fat but gained muscle, like many others..but i can't eat while im working, too busy and stressed to really relax and food just turns me off in that environment..but im very active on stage and in VIP, i really throw myself into it. i think most girls get in better shape after dancing

I gained weight in muscle but the same size. I think my butt got bigger too - in a good way![]()

I think its a myth that u lose weight from dancing..I didnt..Just gained muscle mass..Your body changes alot when u dance..U gain muscle mass which equates to more weight even if the body fat remains the same

It toned me up a bit and so did the pole classes I initially took (but after my body got used to it-I soon realized that drinks/eating during my shift or at 4am-5am when I'd finished undid all of the exercise I'd done while working!)
I've been dancing for a month now and have actually gained a few pounds...probably because I drink a lot at work and then eat before i pass outI'm still not over the novelty of being able to drink at work lol. I don't mind it though since I was a little too skinny before
Not when I first started-but then I was mega skinny and eating-disordered, my weight stayed more or less the same, then I 'recovered' from my ED and went up to a 'normal' weight still slim though. My story isn't typical though as I had a bad relationship with my body and food so nothing really coud overcome that.
HOWEVER, I had a 3-4 year break from dancing and during that time I studied, worked vanilla jobs, partied a LOT and put on weight. I was never 'Fat' but I had a lot of extra fat and struggled to get rid of it even with eating right and exercising,It's hard to overcome a bad relationship with food.
When I went BACK to dancing, dancing sorted it out!I gained confidence with my body, I ate more but steadied my relationship with food, and now, I still have some extra fat around my tummy area but I look a load better. I'm quite slim.. my butt and legs are more toned and I carry myself better. I've not lost an actual lot of WEIGHT but dancing definitely sorted my body (and mind!) out this time around.
Sorry for lengthy post!

I lost weight when I first started dancing. My body wasn't used to it at the time, so doing lap dances and learning pole tricks was exhausting. I'd feel exhausted and constantly hungry on my off days. Also whenever I was at work I tried to keep busy that I often didn't make time to eat during my shift. I read hustle hut a lot so I was busy experimenting with all the different tips to find out what worked for me.
Once my body got used to it after a while, I gained weight.
