Default anyone thinks payoneer fees are ridiculous

So this is the first time ever I am getting a payment on my payoneer card, card was inactive for a long time I had to jump through hoops to get active again. now I am trying to load the money on my card from Rude.com/RMI and the fees it is taking off my check is so ridiculous it's a $50 check , but being paid with payoneer it becomes $48 then to make it load automatically on my card it becomes $43.

Now if I was getting a regular check in the mail from rude.com it would be a $50 check , then I would take to money mart and they would exchange it from USD to Canadian dollars at $2.99 plus 3% and whatever the current US to CA exchange rate is. sure I would wait about a week to get it in the mailbut I am not sure if this whole using payoneer to collect money from camming is really worth it. Right now it doesn't feel like it at all

After all the proccessing of trying to get the money completely on my card it is now a whopping $33. and I still haven't used it to pay the billl I need to pay with it now I am thinking why even bother since It won't be enough to what I promised in that particular bills payment arrangement.

I don't mind the loading fees or the maintance fee. Even the ATM fee isn't so bad. What I don't like is the "corss-border fee" (%) and the exchange fee (%) everytime I shop. But these have nothing to do with payoneer it's Mastercard. %s are what annoy me. My earnings are already cut by the sites pretty well, and additional % cuts I don't like.

The thing is, if I get an 50$ check here, it takes loooong time to arrive. Then I take it to the bank, they sit AT LEAST 2-3 weeks on it (but some of them can take up to 2 MONTHS!) and they deduct a base fee for exchanging it (5-25$ minimum) and exchange it on the second worst rate from their chart.

when I use it I just take it to the store, purchase something, and try to max out the debit card cash back transaction to avoid debit card fees.

I haven't even left my house yet I am trying to active it put the money on it from rude.com and then try and pay my cell phone bill. I wish it was the $48 so it would be worth trying to withdrawl from it at a ATM or something, but for this amount of money loaded on this card it has been a huge hassle and the payoneer customer service number is damn right horrible.

Yeah, the fees suck. Back when I wasn't aware of the fees, I remember trying to withdraw money from an ATM to get a tattoo, and I was like "Huh?" when it said 'insufficient funds' for the amount I was trying to withdraw.

When I make a store purchase, this is how I figure it:

Item price + Maryland tax (6%) = $___. NOW add 1.8% to that total, and that is the total amount you're charged on your Payoneer card.

    For example:

$4 item + 6% Maryland tax ($0.24) = $4.24. Add 1.8% fee ($0.0 to that, and it equals $4.32, which is the amount I will be charged on my Payoneer card. When I get home from the store and log into my Payoneer account online, it will show that I've been charged a total of $4.32 for my purchase.

If I'm literally down to my last few dollars on my Payoneer card, I'm the fool you see in the store aisle with a pink calculator, trying to make sure I got enough on my card to get a container of Simply Lemonade...LOL.

I won't be using this card as my primary, since it won't work on some websites to make a payment which is was the whole point of using the card.

I think Payoneer is the biggest racket ever, but I still use them. My bank doesn't have any branches in my state (I moved and kept the same bank account because I always pay my bills elecrtonically anyway). So, with sites that don't offer ACH direct deposit my only other choices are check or payoneer. I would have to pay a bunch in check cashing fees since I can't just deposit checks directly into my bank account, and I'm paying a bunch in payoneer fees too. I only opt for payoneer because my money gets to me quicker than checks would and I don't have to worry about a check being lost in the mail, but I still hate it.

I also get paid on one site with a CMB paycard, they deduct $9.95 every time you cash out but there are no other fees at all when you make purchases. In fact, when I buy money orders at the post office using my CMB card they reimburse me the $1.15 money order fee. The cashout fee is higher, yeah, but it still saves me money because they don't have all the hidden fees that payoneer does.

I don't have the card because of the fees - although if I got one, I would basically load up all the money, and then withdraw everything once or twice a month. It helps avoid all the little fees.

But you don't have to go through money mart to deal with the checks!! I just take mine to my bank, and they convert it and everything for FREE.

Well they are a business that makes their profit off being a third-party service. They are partnered with Bank One in Belize, but they don't have their own bank. Basically, they are doing all the work and need a way to pay their employees. A lot of the fees, I'm sure, have to do with Bank One also, which is an out-of-country bank.

I agree, the fees are just absurd. I quit using the card a while ago.

Doesn't it also charge you per transaction too? And ATM withdrawls? And lots of other things?

Why not have money direct deposited? I have for almost 2 years w one site, its only 3 bucks every time and the same now when I opted for it on SM.

Maybe I am confused. I keep reading payoneer card

3 bucks is cheap to me for direct deposit

I love Payoneer for the immediate load and I use it alot.

Apparently from what I gather the more you use it, the less fees you have.

I only WD money with I need it - otherwise its just another card I swipe and call it a day... unless it's gas, then I use something else...

Wait, do you mean direct deposit from Payoneer, or from SM?

A wire transfer on SM is a $40 fee...AND a $200 minimum (not sure if that is before or after the fee). Every WEEK? I am NOT paying $160 a month just to get my money.

Yeah, whenever I need to withdraw money, I try to use the debit/cash back option at Dollar Tree. The cash back option costs $1, and it's cheaper to do that instead of do an ATM withdrawal.

Yeah, I just use it for DP ACH and after DP and AW took their fees, I noticed that payoneer took like 3% out of my already small amount. Ridiculous to me!

My money is sent to payoneer and they direct deposit it to my bank. Its only 3$ per pay period.( no extra charge when buying or doing things from my bank account) The minimum payout is 100.00 to receive my money. The money goes from SM to Payoneer and payoneer to me.
    Im in the USA.
Minnie just pointed out to me that is not available for all countries I did not know that. That is why I was lost on this thread and the fees being so high, now I understand.

I have had many times that the bank holds my check for 2 weeks. When the old bank manager was there he would over ride if I showed him my toes. Now the bank randomly chooses when to hold my checks. I have had it happen at 3 banks. I signed up for payoneer direct deposit bc of this.

Yep it charges to load/bank transfer, per transaction, atm withdrawls/I think it also charges you to check your balance at an atm and if your card is decline from the atm, monthly maintenance/I think there may be a yearly maintenance too. I think someone in another thread said that they charge for phone customer service as well but don't quote me on that. That's pretty ridiclous..I tend to use the card all the time out of convenience. Now I wonder how much I'm really spending.

It's available in a loooot of countries though. Like loveshooks said, if you're in Canada you can get the direct deposits no problem for 3$. I think that's very reasonable for what they do.
