Default Blogs that allow adult content, advertising AND domain name

I'm having a hard time finding a blog site that allows adult stuff, advertising and my own domain name.

    Do you have any ideas?

You can put your links up, and yes I've seen lots of people put ads on their blogs just put it in the code.

I recommend hosting your own domain. I bought my domain name and host it through Hostgator. There is an easy install of the blogging platform wordpress which takes out all the hassle and it is fully customizable.

Be careful though; some hosting companies wont allow adult material (I learned that the hard way with my first hosting company). Whichever way you go make sure to research and read the TOS to make sure you are not in any violation and running the risk of having you blog closed (with the possibility of you losing all your hard work).

^ that is also true. I found out a lot of hosts are anti-adult. Hostgator is great, I used them for my body jewelry ecommerce site.

I second going with your own hosting, and I also second HostGator, they are the best.

Yep, what everyone else said. Hostgator allows adult content, they have an easy 1-step Wordpress install, and you can customize everything.

You don't want to have your site, something that is very important to your brand, reliant on someone else. Blogger, tumblr, although they are great, are still not "yours" so you don't have complete control.

    Blogger allows it..

I have used them in the past.

I am not a fan of Tumblr - actually not a fan of blogs anymore really for cam girls - too many guys steal your stuff.

I'm just a big fan of tumblr because I've had mine for like three years and it gets addicting. I just took my regular personal one and changed my url because I couldn't get track of two. :3

Blogger "allows" adult content but if people start flagging or reporting your site (as a camgirl can you imagine a crazied fan doing such a thing??) blogger will shut down your blog with little to no warning, meaning you could lose everything. I first started out on blogger, even bought a domain name through them but after doing research and reading horror stories of people losing their adult content blogs I decided I wanted a blog that belonged to me and that I alone could control. Hosting my own blog gives me peace of mind that I won't wake up tomorrow to find my work has *poof* just disappeared. Using a free blogging platform is a gamble, you may be fine and never have an issue BUT you might wake up one day and find everything gone. Depends on how much time and effort you plan on putting into your blog and if you want to risk having it removed.

Can someone either post here or PM me, I'm having difficulties with this. I bought a domain and I have a wordpress blog but I can't figure out how to redirect the domain to the wordpress site. Did I need to buy hosting too? I thought it worked like wordpress hosts your blog and the domain is a totally separate thing. I'm super confused.

Also now that I think about it, even if I redirect my domain name to my blog, after the first click through (from "(myname).com",) to navigate through the site it'll still look like "http://(myname).wordpress.com/photos" (for example) instead of "http://(myname).com/photos" right? In need of assistance here lol. :/

    wordpress.com is different then wordpress.org

    wordpress.com is not as customizeable

wordpress.org is software that you can customize in many different ways

longterm, wordpress.org is better because you have more options

if you want to keep the same structure you already have and don't need the customization here is instructions for mapping your domain: http://en.support.wordpress.com/doma...isting-domain/

if you want to customize go through your host and most have an easy wordpress install and go from there

Wordpress.com is *not* adult friendly... they will pull your blog in a heartbeat! Yup, you need to get your own hosting, and install wordpress onto it...thats the way to go. Once you have your hosting, in your welcome email, they will tell you the servers that you are to point your domain name to.

I agree with what others have said, buy your own domain (make sure to do private registration) and hosting, and learn how to install wordpress from wordpress.org

    good luck!

No worries...we've all done it or seen someone else do it LoL and wordpress is confusing, cause theres wordpress the website, and wordpress the software so its an honest mistake. Agree with making sure you get your domain name privatized..should be an option when you buy your domain.

I always keep my hosting and domain services separete...cause I had issues at one time..when I had a problem with my hosting, they screwed with my domain name as well..and it took me forever to get my domain name moved to a different company to not have to deal with them anymore.

So yeah, I keep it separate... I buy my domains from GoDaddy, and my hosting through HostGator.

Bit of a threadjack, but i wanted to ask the ladies who bought hosting how good that "privacyprotect.org" is? I just bought some free hosting (it was 9.99 set-up free / 10 domain name / and 2.99 for privacy protect). Is it very safe/secure? Thanks

I'd like to pull some attention back to the fact that Adsense is NOT allowed on adult-oriented websites. >.> Very important, that.

I am definitely interested to hear what others have to say regarding this ^^^
I have started to do affiliate marketing with adult sites, mainly adult sex toys but there is the hassle of signing up with each individual site.
