    Default Wisdom Teeth

I had my top and bottom wisdom teeth on the right side removed on the 17. Still in a little pain but nothing unbearable (unlike yesterday when I wanted to cry because my temple/ear area hurt so bad!) when would an appropriate time to work again be? I suppose what I mean is, when is it safe to do any pole work or floor work such as hand stands? I had the work done at a dental school, so I guess I could call in the morning. But I'm itching to know now!

Yikes! I would be scared to get it done at a school.

If you're in pain, I'd wait a week after the proceedure before going back. Did you get any pain killers to take home? Are you still taking them?

What scared me the most was during the process (not sedated, numbing local) the lady doing it was being supervised and the guy was with her "wait not like that! Like this:..." And then she told me I wasn't "helping her" because my mouth wasn't closed or open enough. I was numb, and she wasn't guiding me either. Eh lol *eye roll*.

Anyways yes still on meds and doing the salt rinses. One hydro left and a ton of ibuprofen. It will be a week Thursday but I still don't feel that's enough time. Just checked the bottom and saw the deep maroon colored scab hiding in the pit where my tooth was

I would give it a good week but if you feel better soon then go for it.

I just know that for my getting my wisdom teeth out was quite a recovery that took at least two weeks.

Everyone heals differently, but it took me a good 1-2 weeks for the swelling to go down and for the pain to subside. But, if you are feeling ok and want to go back to work-why not call or visit the Dental School? You could always just ask if what you are experiencing is normal and when you can resume physical activity (or ask something along the lines of, "Is it ok to go back to the gym etc"?

I went back today and I have a dry socket with exposed bone where the top tooth was I'm in so much pain!! I was given a curved syringe and a higher dose of narco along with amoxicillin. She cleaned it out today and the syringe had to get deep in the pit and it scraped the exposing bone which made me tear up and had to ask her to stop for a minute lol. Then a dry socket paste was put on the bone. Never felt a pain so excruciating.

Girl I feel for you right now if you have a dry socket. I had mine out last January and got a dry sockets.....worst pain of my life. They gave me tons of percocets that I coulldn't even feel. Not to scare you, but I didn't even start to feel better until 3 weeks later because of those complications... I was able to work near the end of the three weeks, I just don't know if you'll want to
