I'm planning to become a stripper soon and I was just wondering if it would be a good idea for me to hire a bodyguard to protect me while I'm going to or coming from work.

A bodyguard shouldn't be necessary though carpooling with another girl, taking a cab, or having a friend pick you up might give you some peace of mind, though I realize logistics will dictate whether.any of those are possiible for you.

ATL, are you asking this question simply out of concern for customers, or does this extend to the abusive situation that you are leaving?
I don't think that the use of paid bodyguards is very common among dancers, at least not the ones that I deal with. For starters, it may be cost prohibitive to hire someone to do this your earnings are not what you hope that they will be. But I think that sensible precautions are most definitely in order. As bem mentioned, you can carpool with another girl or have a friend pick you up at night. I have also read a number of posts by ladies who say that they switch up their routes home each night to see if someone is following them.
In any event, good luck and I hope that all goes well!
I don't find it necessary. If I travel via public transport to work,I wear nondescript clothing with my hair tied up-it's not so bad for me as boyfriend walks me to the train, train station is busy and the walk from train to club is a very public route-loads of nightclubs and bars and loads of police lol.
I get a lift home whenever I do that and stay with my lift the whole time (a doorman). Sometimes I get a lift from another girl and the doorman walks us to her car.
If I drive, I get walked to where my car is parked...Even though it's usually right behind the club! You can always ask doormen or other male staff to protect you, it's what they're there for-but nevertheless when you're new be careful who you trust.
I've often been tempted when I've finished early or every doorman has been busy, to get straight out to my car and get the hell home BUT I've never done it. I've waited until there was somebody available to escort me. For the sake of a few minutes, think of your safety sure.
Good luck!![]()
I just want to echo the sentiment of that being a very unnecessary expense. Work in a club that's in a relatively safe area, tip your bouncers well and ask them to walk you to your car/bus/ride when you life, and get recommendations on a driver if you aren't driving yourself and feel uncomfortable taking public transit.
