Yeah, that all makes sense, and I agree that it's not just Brooklyn per se but that is a good catch-all phrase to describe a certain look. (I prefer "hipster doofus," hat tip Kramer from Seinfeld, LOL). As a club kid who was pushed out of the East Village in the 90s and I am familiar with what happens once the trend-chasers catch wind of a "cool place" that they would not have set foot in just a few years prior.
Again, it does make sense that it's reflecting where L.A. is style-wise, and it's definitely a good thing that it's evolving because personally I think it had been a very narrow view of what porn viewers like. I guess the thing I can't wrap my head around is that it infiltrated the porn scene aesthetic, because I guess I just always saw that as somewhat unchanging.
Guess it's also my own identify "crisis"–having the MILF niche chosen for me by my custies when I see myself as more of a platinum blonde pin up (at least in my fantasies). They like that I am sweet and "real" but the big tits get reactions most "sweet" girls would shy away from (but not me). I guess that's something that will just suss out the longer I am on cam. I really just want to figure out something that works for clients that I can also live with without having to play too much of a role. You know, the memory goes, LOL.
Anyhoo, this whole thread is really interesting, and thanks GlamourRouge for elaborating. For all my fashion cluelessness you would never guess I spent years working in the industry. Wish I'd paid more attention!
