So, this is my first thread and I am a little nervous (deep breath). I just want to hear from cam girls who have more experience under their (garter) belts if you've ever had times in your life when you've had to suspend camming temporarily and if you suffered any negative consequences (beyond financial) as a result.
Just as a bit of background, I started in October after months of research and reading the forums here. Because I am not that disciplined by nature I was a little hit-or-miss about it but I really enjoyed it (there was some self-doubt and some "OMG WTF am I doing" going on too). By December I was hitting more of a groove but had to take time off for the holidays, illness (strep throat, ugh) and a death in the family.
In January I started back full-steam ahead but am getting ready to move apartments. Since I have to show my current place to prospective tenants I kept having to hide everything away and set back up everyday. Finally I decided to put camming on hold and resume when I get settled into my new place, which should be in two weeks or so.
It's not really that long to wait but I am getting impatient and a little depressed because I like the interaction. Also, it just feels like I am falling behind the progress I was (finally) making and am kicking myself for not being more regular about my hours in the beginning. I wish I could relax or at least make this time more productive.
So my questions is: has anyone else found themselves surprisingly bummed out while taking a break from camming, and if so do you have any tips for not getting into a bad head space about it? I would appreciate any feedback from you brilliant ladies; you've already taught me so much more about running a business than I'd ever hoped to learn, so whatever wisdom you care to impart would mean a lot to me.
