    Default Prepay for appointment

Every single time I prebook for appointments, there will be at least one guy who cancels on each day.
It pisses me off because they book the time and then don't give any advance warning whatsoever.
I end up having to scramble to fill his spot or not fill it at all.
I bet if I didn't send the email confirmation the day beforehand, the guy wouldn't say shit to me about having to cancel anyways.
    So rude!

How much do you make a guy pay in advance for an appointment? I would rather have him pay the whole amount but
what guy would really do that. And is there an easier method of getting him to pay without using greendot?
It's inconvenient having to make the guy drive to the store to get a green dot card.

Green dot is pretty much your only (good) option. And if he's not willing to make a quick trip to the store, he's probably the kind of guy that would cancel anyway. Just my opinion.

What is an acceptable amount to have the man pay in advance? I'm about to tour and don't want to have anyone waste my time by last minute cancelling.

Sorry I don't have too much advice to give on that front, hoping someone else will come with their opinion. Everyone does things differently. Some only require deposits for multi hour appointments. To me a full deposit for only one hour might turn a guy off, but maybe half would be okay. Again, just my opinion. Another thing you can do is if they cancel and then try to make an appointment again then have them pay a deposit, so you are still being nice by having one cancellation be okay, but after that they have to prove that they aren't flakes.

Btw are you screening these guys? And if you are screening them do the no shows have anything written about them in any of the sites you're using? That might also help.

I think that asking for references really cuts down on guys cancelling like that, it will still happen ...I mean things come up and sometimes they genuinely just cannot make it, but some guys are just out to yank your chain and waste your time. Which sucks.

I ask for a deposit for clock-free / overnight and travel dates and I accept it with moneypak And like Sassy said, if a guy cant be arsed to drop into a convenience store to buy a moneypak, hes probably anyway a flake.

There is a couple who entices guys to send a 50% deposit by offering a discount, like if the rate is $300, if they put down $150, then they get 10% off and it will be $270, or something like that, and if the guy cancels, the money is not refundable. She said they get quite a few guys who take them up on that and it keeps them from cancelling, soemtimes they have to cancel, but at least they arent out the whole amount. Im considering doing something like that for my tours and extended / travel dates.
Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink!
