I went into a strip club a month or two ago. I was hired, but I felt too fat to work. I felt embarassing so I didn't come back. I weigh probably like 180, and now I weigh 167. I'm 5'7.5

I still feel the same. My family tells me I'm thin now lol. But if I lose 10 more lbs, do you think I would be fit enough to make money?

    So like at 157?

Everyone carries their weight differently, and in this industry,a good personality can shine through any physical hangups. There are threads where girls post pics of their bodies if you want to compare, but don't be too hard on yourself, guys like ALL types of girls.

Thanks, just trying to be realistic, since looks matter in this industry. I used to weigh 210 pushing 220s some days.... and I wanted to be a stripper then.

Money is getting tight, and can't find a job at the moment, so I need to do something

I have to go back, or else I'll never will.

usually the club will let you know if you're not up to their "standards", but really i weight more than i look its all about proportions and firmness more than a number i think. plus usually girls really tone up with all the exercise dancing put you through. where i am the guys love thick girls with curves!

Well I was at their standards at 180. It's in Detroit. The strippers were nice to me, and I wasn't treated like I shouldn't be there. It was just in me.

Just try it! You can always quit if you really feel its not for you for whatever reason. But it might help u lose more weight, gain more confidence, or both. In fact a girl i work with now (who is thick but not fat) was just telling me the other day how when she started at her first club she was like 190 and didnt think she could do it but really needed the money. It turned out she fit in at the club, made good money, and lost a lot of weight quickly from all the dancing.

Some guys LOVE girls who weigh more if they carry it well. And I'm not talking about some fetish, just guys that like girls with more meat on them. If the club has a lot of guys like that you might make great money and have some fun and meet some cool girls at the same time.

Men are less cruel and picky than we are about our bodies, in most cases . Some clubs hire all body types, some are more fussy (i.e. Up scale clubs). But, if you have already been hired, why not work now? The weight will drop off and you'll be making money and learning the ropes at the same time.

You're tall so you can get away with carrying more weight. But also keep in mind that what's considered "thin" IRL is probably "average" in Stripperland. I'm at 103llbs right now at 5'0 which IRL is supposedly anorexic, but ITC is perfectly acceptable. I don't know how your weight is distributed but if you're one of the lucky 0000001% of the population that doesn't get it in their gut or thighs then shoot for 157. If not I'd shoot for 150ish to 140's.

I always say the thinner you are, the more doors you can fit through. I have gotten hired at more clubs at 103llbs than when I was heavier.

^This is true, the better shape you're in the better off you'll be in the industry, but that's not to say you can't make it work while you're tuning up your assets In fact, if you learn to hustle now when you're carrying extra weight, you'll do even better when you lose it. But fyi, I think at 5'7' 165 you shouuuuullld be ok to start now. 10 lbs isn't even that noticeable unless you're really thin and short. Congrats on the weight loss btw, I lost about the same this year too . And fwiw I was back to dancing at 180. I didn't feel super confident until about 10-15lbs less later (where I'm at now), but I made money and I needed it, and no one said shit to me. Even at that weight I did well at my club, I do better now because I feel more confident. If you're a curvier girl I suggest trying to find a club that has a lot of immigrant clientele. The skinny athletic look is really popular with north americans and some Europeans but a lot of foreigners tend to prefer or at least not object at all to a softer curvier girl. And hell, a lot of guys don't really give a shit, they'll be attracted to the first girl that really takes the initiative. Never underestimate initiative. If you are fabulously put together with great hair, makeup and an awesome outfit, no one will notice 10 extra pounds. 30, yeah, 10, no. go for it! Dancing is also great for getting in shape

TBH I think you're ok for a mid tier club.
