Thumbs up Holy Grail of Different Closing Techniques

I just stumbled upon this, looking for a book about sales that someone recommended to me years ago that I can't remember the name of. I never found the book, but found this sales encyclopedia of sorts, and thought I'd share it.

    How to close the deal

Some obviously wouldn't work in the club, but a lot of them would work very well I think!

Thanks! No, I've read both of those. It was a new sales book, (published post-2K I'm pretty sure), I just have this mental block and keep thinking it's Tipping Point by Gladwell but I don't think it is...

The book talks about using a "distractor" in sales, and uses the example of a print/internet magazine subscription. ie: Print $5/mo, Internet: $3/mo, print + internet $6/mo (different numbers though). That's all I remember from this book, a guy I used to date was reading it 2 summers ago and was obsessed with talking about it, so it stuck in my memory. Lol.

^THIS! I was also thinking in terms of clubs that sell "per dance" and "per time" packages that are a significant bargain in price (There's no bargain @ my club).

I still can't find the book, my googling skills are subpar today I guess! But I'll elaborate a little bit more, he must've had me read that part of the book because I think I have a photographic memory of it in my mind right now. Lol.

If you were to try this for a champagne room, you'd have to mention three different packages:

Suite time/Dance time equivalent to the champagne room duration, without the champagne. ie: an hour worth of private dances. Then the cost of a bottle of champagne. Then the cost of a champagne room for an hour (champagne included).

    Let's just say...
VIP suite w/o champagne, or just an hour worth of lap dances : $400/hr
Bottle of mid-range champagne (club price obviously): Say... $300?
Hour in Champagne room (girl + champagne): $500.

Using the assumptive technique in the link above might even be a good way to go here. Assuming he's going to get a bottle of champagne and an hour of your time either way, you could say... "We could have a bottle of champagne brought to the table and I could dance for you for an hour, OR we can go get cozy back there and have (insert hostess name here) take care of us while we cuddle on the sofa/I dance for you..." Whatever. Dialogue flows way better in person, lol. Then implement the prices with the implied savings last.

Unfortunately this wouldn't work at my club, because the way they do champagne suites is a bit different. Customer pays $300 directly to the girl (instead of $400 w/o champagne, of which $130 goes to the club), then pays full price for the bottle of champagne, so there isn't really an obvious package deal because the champagne costs the same either way.

Edit: I neglected to mention the fact that the bottle of champagne in this scenario is the "distractor" variable. Because no one is going to buy a bottle of champagne without getting the champagne room to go with it, really... What bringing it up does is makes the most lucrative option for YOU (the CR) the most appealing one to HIM as well.

It's a little different in the book though. Oi! I wish I could remember it! He also has a chapter about how people are more likely to buy when you mention the word FREE. If anyone has read it before, please post here!

Yes! I think my most used technique is the assumptive technique. I never ask "want a dance?" no matter how long I've been sitting with someone. Instead I give them a "this or that" sell with no easy way to say no.

^^^ LOL I want to try this for shits and giggles, next time a customer asks "So... What happens in the private room..." with that obnoxiously suggestive tone.

Ah I was reading this today it's amazing,a building rapport section as well. I'm going to use the Daily Cost close, I can get away with cheesy jokes like that. 'well you aren't a regular here so say you only come back in two months-the room is now just £2.60 a day!'

how would you suggest using the predictably irrational theory in my club? I need help. we have £20 dances which are already done in a regular open booth, £60 for 15 minutes in a private booth. its just got a leather sofa and a curtain to make it private, the theres £180 for 45 minutes and £240 for an hour which are in a private booth. the dances are all the same it is a no contact club and it does not include champagne. we are not allowed to add the champagne or up the price. I normally have the following options:

naughty 40 which is £40 in a regular open booth
    £60 vip or 15 mins
    £120 vip for half hour
    £180 vip for 45 mins

I dont know what to add to make them sound different. I want people to go more for the £120 for half hour more but i struggle making it sound more appealing compared to the other so it sells more. any suggestions please.???

I'm not sure it really works in this scenario, because you have no distractor. Your prices increase in regular intervals of 60, and no included champagne, so there's no real advantage to one or the other. Why do you want to focus on the 120, when you can focus on the 240?

You have to be careful focusing too much on numbers in your pitch anyway, unless you're sitting with someone who specifically needs to hear them to make the close (not too many men do).

it harder to sell without a distractor. i struggle trying to get customers to pay for half hour vip when the 15 minute vip is exactly the same . i always het asked what the difference is and its only the time factor. how would you put it across to sound different?

I mean... The only difference is time, which they get more of with you! Don't even mention the lower time options at all. Assume he's going to go for the hour first, or if you want to start even higher (depending on the culture of your club), assume he's going for 2 hours... You'll always have guys who will only want 15 minutes, but read the closing techniques. Try the assumptive close, the "this or that" (hour/45 min without even mentioning the other two), or like Simone mentioned, make not buying embarrassing.

Sales is very much about reading people, improvising and being creative -- there isn't really a "one size fits all" script for selling VIP time. That's why hustle hut has so many different techniques that girls say work for them. Experiment! And the most important thing is being comfortable with the price, yourself, and the sale. If you appear timid or unsure, they'll reflect that and most likely go for less time.
