    Default Camming outside the home?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and have recently decided to pursue camming as a source of supplemental income. I have a slightly unusual situation; my husband seems alright with my desire to do this, but is adamant about me working on web cam ONLY outside the home, as our 10-month-old daughter and my mother-in-law both live with us and are very rarely away from the house. I don't particularly want his mother knowing I do this, so I'm on board. I'm just not sure how to go about pursuing it, since one of the selling points in this job is staying AT home.

Are there ANY safe, reputable physical studios in the US where someone can set up a room to work on web cam? I know these types of studios (with less than favorable conditions, I've heard) are far more prevalent in poorer areas of Europe, and I suppose even a better one in the U.S. might not be all that safe. It's just an option I'm considering. I've thought about asking friends to use bedrooms in their home for a few nights a week, but this seems intrusive and might not afford much privacy.

Does anyone have ideas? or web sites that might have listings of various studios (if there are any) by area? Is this even feasible? Any help would be so very much appreciated.

Seems to me your best bet would be to find a fellow cam host in your area and see if she would rent you space. I would love to do this for a host if I had the extra room.

I know some of the bigger cities have them...
    NY, LA etc.
I don't really know how one would go about finding them..maybe craigslist?
    But craigslist can be dangerous...
Plus I've read that physical studios can take more than virtual ones sometimes...

Maybe a hotel room, but you never know how much you'll make in a night so you could come out negative plus you'd have to find a hotel with decent internet.

You could also cam without sound if you don't want anyone to know and have a lockable door....

Also you might want to look into content sites like MGF, ELM, C4S...they don't require any live camming.

I don't think you'll find a physical studio unless you are in a bigger city. And if it's only supplemental income, it probably would not be worth it to rent an office type space just for camming, or give away a percentage of your income to a studio.

I would suggest starting out trying to cam at home, maybe when they are asleep. My MIL lived with us for a while while I was camming and I just cammed when she was sleeping. I mean really.... you probably won't make any more noise or be any louder than when you and your husband have sex.... and I assume you have sex even though she lives there...? And she doesn't hear? LOL So I mean yah, I would start out at home and see how that goes first.

Camming doesn't have to be loud. If you have a good webcam it will pick up on noise easily so it's not like you are yelling. Like I said, no louder than "normal" sex or talking on the phone.
    xoxo ~ Sarah

Some cities have cheap apartments for rent, sometimes a "renovated" older hotel gets used for this(I think these are intended for the recently divorced?). Not always in the best neighborhoods or condition, though. A friend's room might work, but make sure they're a -good- friend, hehe. You'd probably have to pay something for the internet use at least, and things might get awkward if they aren't completely okay with or even sure what you're doing.

I would try to talk him into letting you use a corner room of the basement or attic, somewhere at home where you're safe and have control of the internet at night. I've read methods of cheap sound-proofing (foam and cardboard) if you're really worried about the noise, but like Sarah said you don't have to be loud to cam.

Sounds like my SO when I started, but they became much accommodating once I started bringing in money.
