Can anyone recommend any tips or great products for dehydrated facial skin ( not dry skin.. dehydrated skin lacking water) I've been trying to drink more water but looking for products for the face.. it is pretty much from heavy drinking..

They have products for all skin types - including acne prone - but their green tea moisturizer is just that. It hydrates the skin better than anything I've tried before.

products with no /very little alcohol and benzines..and with lots of humectants! i love burts bees night cream, its amazing! i also put a humidifier in my room at night, it helps. its good that you're drinking lots of water, because that and laying off alcohol and other diarrhetics will be the number one thing to help your skin
edited to say, avacado oil has the power to penetrate skin more than almost any other household oil, its incredible. i like taking 2 teaspoons by mouth, as well as flaxseed oil before bed, really helps the skin , hair, nails.

I like eucerin. its a thick cream and it helps me retain moisture for the entire day. other than that, eating healthy fats makes my skin plumper and more moisturized.
It is very simple. Stop drinking so much. Once I stopped drinking as heavy my skin improved 100%. You also need to be drinking water- not 4-5 cups a day, more like 6-10 because of your lifestyle. Try getting one of those flavored Emergen-C packs, they have tons of yummy flavors and it's full of electrolytes that is needed to replace since you lose a lot drinking alcohol and is needed to hydrate. And vaseline. Yes, it is heavy but apply a thin layer during the day and a thicker layer at night when you wash your make up off. There is no need to be spending money on crazy shit- the solution is always simple and cheap. Stop drinking so much, drink more water and vaseline.

^ i heard petroleum jelly can be harmful to the skin as it creates a seal, and can hinder toxins being eliminated as well as get in the way of cell regeneration? ( not trying to be a stuck up cunt which it probably sounds like lol) .
stuck up cunt? LOL not at all. You may be right, I am not sure but I've been using vaseline for a long time now with no problems. I think it all depends on your skin type, mine is dry. Again, you may be right but I found this article http://health.howstuffworks.com/skin...oisturizer.htm

Noooo never use petroleum on ur face! It is comodogenic and is sealing the skin not moisturizing it.
here's what I do
Drink more water, eat healthier foods. Number 1 in skin health.
Protect your facial skin from the sun.
Use light exfoliater after cleansing with organic evcoconut oil.
only exfoliate if u need to maybe once every other week. I like dermalogica, yonka, and bioelements micro exfoliaters.
Tone, moisturize. Don't use anything overly heavy for a moisturizer as it can clog pores.
I'm a licensed esthetician any more questions?

I have exact same problem with drinking too much and living in the desert doesn't help. Eat and drink hydrating foods like avocado, coconut, fruits and veggies, anything that carries water. Drink tons of coconut water, and like JoJox said, emergen-C packs are so good for you in every way. Get a balanced moisturizer with vitamin C and apply day and night, under makeup, whenever and make sure it has SPH minimum of 30 and stay out of the sun when possible. Drinking hates skin so hate drinking back if you can. Good luck!

If you have dry/sensitive skin all year around like me Use CerVe hydrating cleanser (I like to use this cleanser with my Preteka Facial Brush, similar to Clarisonic face brushes). I moisturize with Nature's Gate- Oh What a Night Walnut Overnight Renewal, Olivella Countour Eye Cream, and Nature's Gate- Forget your Lines Serum to seal in all the moisture.
I'm sorry but I am going to have to argue about the Vaseline thing. Ever since I started applying Vaseline to my face, my skin looks more youthful. If you google about it, you can find articles supporting both sides but in my experience, Vaseline has works wonders on my skin, ESP since I have dry skin. Like I said, maybe it depends on your skin type.
