I agree, the dress makes you look thick in the belly area when you're not at all. I also worked at Sapphire and didn't like it.

Ha ha, the millionaire matchmaker says ther millionaires like girls with straight , smooth silky hair. I don't believe it but she's pretty good at her job. I agree withwhat everyone else says. I would tone up( your bodies fine just a bit) do a sporay tan( it works wonders with making you look slimmer) and get a kamala gown thats cut out in the stomache( that will be more flatering) go to the mac counter before you audition and get your makeup done and dress to the nines when you walk in and I think you'll be fine.

Everybody has this falacy that new york wants tan, blondes with boobs. Not true! 10 years ago but not anymore! I see everything from flat chested flabby white girls, to girls that definitely wouldn't get hired at any florida club I work. All girls don't look like super models in manhatan.

I would Say maybe it could be the boobs or blonde issue (I saw many brunette girls so i guess they have to many brunette, maybe they don't want more) But Im sure is not the weigh because i know girl from my previous club a lot thicker than me came here and Got hired, even girls with big bellys ( not ofending anyone, Just the true) this club is not known as a blonde, tall and skinny rules club, I know the kind of girls they usually have are latinas, a lot of dominicans and colombians ( Im dominican) so Im sure is not the weigh, i really do not look thick, maybe is the angle of the pics. People always categorize me as a petite girl. Thanks for the inputs ladies anyways

Thanks Michele11 im so agree with you, this is so true!!! In manhattan you can see pretty much anything type of body and hair color right now.

Well,it sounds like you're screwed. It wasn't your hair, body, gown, ethnicity, or the manager... Maybe it's not meant to be and not the right club for you. Try some other places and I'm sure you'll click with one.

they didn't tell me they have too many girls, I assumed that could be a possibility since a friend of mine that works there told me they hired a lot of girls in the beginning of January because most of their girls left to Vegas and now are coming back and probably they feel they have too many. Yes. later on ill try with a different look and see how goes. Thanks for the input though![]()
I SAY tone up and get a more flattering gown and then try again. Sapphire does not have hiring freezes that I know of.

Maybe they called around to the club(s) they knew or thought you and/or the other girl worked, heard something they didn't like and assumed you two were together.
Or maybe they didn't like your stage performance.

I think you are attractive, but you said you went with someone else, it could have been her or you. Ive learned when auditioning always go by yourself. I had an incident at a club in Springfield MA where my friend got hired and I didnt and then also a case in FL where I went with another friend we auditioned and they said they werent hiring however when i went back in to use the bathroom the manager told me to come back on my own. Which sucks because both clubs were some driving distance so because of one person not getting hired we had to turn back around. Either way brush off rejection. I changed my hairstyle long straight as someone else mentioned lol, and went back to the MA club and did get hired the second time around![]()

Clubs in manhattan have so many girlss auditioning they wouldn't have the time or care to do that. Also you go on a tiny little stage during audition in most manhattan clubs, you don't dance and especially at saphire they want you to get out of your dress asap. I also want to say I've worked at at least 40 clubs all over the country( mostly gown clubs) and if they like your look enough it doesn't matter if they have 5000 girls on schedule, they'll hire you. Big city big clubs never turn away a girl they like.

Your bod has the right look for so many clubs, but you know NYC. Even gorgeous girls can get turned down. One centrefold walked away stunned from PEC after getting rejected in 2007, that was bizarre to watch.
As others have said, the gown is wrong... hair should be more Meghan Fox if possible. Slim down a bit, I'm sure when you get a good home club you'll stay leaner because of all the dancing. Sometimes they put you up to audition even when they know they can't take a new girl, and when they rejected 5 yesterday. There was a long thread about a Vegas club doing this when they know damn well they won't hire.
My only other comment is the club may be more plastic, as other posters have suggested, in which case if they already have 2-3 natural blonde whit girls, they consider their "quota" or inventory met in that category. In which case you only auditioned to let him see if you had 32E tits over a 25 inch waist, and when you didn't then you didn't stand a chance anyway.

in the second picture your body looks much better! i think it was the gown..and as others have said, definitely lose the hair-do and bangs! i think your body looks great! i've been turned down at a few places because i didn't have DD boobs towering over my rib cage where you can count every bone..screw them. i personally find that look ( "the western ideal") not attractive or realistic (for most women) at all. its very important to keep fit, but other than that i'd just find a club where you fit in and feel comfortable without having to undergo plastic surgery and starvation just for them.

Well... I guess they didn't like something about my look I guess.

Go on a non busy night as a customer; watch each girl that goes on stage & look for the over all look of the girls & the kind of gowns you see them wearing... While standing out can be good, it's easier to get hired if it looks like you belong there already.

After seeing the way that Manhattan clubs operate for more than a decade, my guess is that the clubs are under management orders to 'hunker down' in expectation of declining business conditions. After all, a whole bunch of their customer base just got hit with a big tax increase in January. Also, seasonality is a big factor with Manhattan clubs - with summer tourist season and Christmas holiday season traditionally being the 'best' times, and cold snowy winter months being the 'worst' times. So this may have absolutely nothing to do with you personally.

^ Melonie summer is the worst time toi dance manhattan. I made my most money dec-feb, when I was traveling in. ..

Summer is the worst in NYC.

LOL I auditioned at Sapphires twice in one week, the first time, the manager wouldn't even let me audition, said to come back in fall when they were busier (typically NYC brush off). I went back the next day, that manager loved me and hired me.
I'd say go back on a different day of the week, that way the same manager won't be on shift (or at least less likely). You never know, maybe he was just in a crappy mood.
