I think that I've had a small handful of men who paid at first and then turned into lurkers. But that was mostly at the beginning when I was starting out. I think that that's when you get most of these kinds of men (from payin' to lurkin'). They tend to do that because they know that you're new, that you don't know anyone there and that you don't have much traffic. So they pay you more than the average flash so that they can show you that they're "the good guys" and hope that you pay extra attention to them from that moment until eternity.
I'm a friendly person in general, but after 3 - 4 months into it, I don't have time to waste with them, since they never paid again. I'll still be polite and answer, but their messages are not top priority for me, so I'll take like 15mns to respond to them. I know for a fact that these men will never drop a token on me again and if I ever were to talk to them again, they would want to make me "work" for their tokens when honestly, they should be working to pay ME for my time.
So when they turn into lurkers, it's not worth it. I'd say to stay polite and civil, but to give them MUCH less attention.
