    Default Traveling as a noob

I am totally new to dancing and have zero interest dancing in my hometown because I know I won't make the kind of money I'm looking for. My plan is to travel to Vegas, Houston, Miami, and Atlanta but to be honest I really have no idea how to get started since I know this is where veterans dance. Any advice is appreciated...I want to get started asap.

I would start at a club that is as close to home as possible, before you start commuting. Work there for a few weeks or months at *least* before you make any travel plans. While you can pick up on how to be successful in this business fairly quickly, there is a slight learning curve. I would've been terrified to start dancing somewhere like Vegas, where the girls are very cutthroat, or Miami where the clubs are full nude and the contact is very high.

Start now, if you can, as summers tend to be less lucrative in this industry. (Or maybe I'm just irrationally paranoid about this, this year. I'm like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter right now in terms of money, and it's only February, so I might be slightly neurotic! Lol)

How often a month do you travel? Also I haven't had any work done yet so will it be harder for me to get hired at better clubs out of town?

I've never traveled before -- I am starting for the first time in March and plan on traveling through September, due to the fact that I won't have a lease/living expenses during that time and the city I live in is notoriously bad in summer months. All I know of traveling I've learned from the lovely girls on this forum! (I'm sure some will chime in here too) However, I have visited strip clubs in both Vegas and Miami (never worked in either city) and I will say it's very different from what I am used to in smaller volume, upscale gentleman's clubs.

As far as not having any work done, that depends on a lot of things. I've never had work done, and don't really plan on it -- but I have a small frame, natural B's/C's, am white with red/strawberry blonde hair depending on how recently I've dyed it, so I am fortunate to have a look that translates well in the kind of clubs I like to work in.

I'd say to get hired at upscale clubs (if that's what you're looking for), you don't really need to have had work done, you just need to be in good shape (low BMI, nice figure), be good at makeup that compliments your features in club lighting and have a positive attitude (entertaining isn't all looks!). But, all managers and all clubs look for something different that appeals to their clientele. I would probably never get hired at urban clubs where girls BANK on stage shows, because I don't have the right look or "hustle" for that type of club.

If you want, you can do a search of your area and see what girls have to say about the clubs near you.

Edit: Noticed in another post you said you were 20. Do your research before you reach an area, a lot of clubs won't hire girls that are under 21!

I'm more looking for tips on urban clubs so if anyone has any current info on urban clubs in these cities please let me know and thank you summerbre but I'm not sure i would get hired at an "upscale" club since I am half black and have tattoos. But I am pretty skinny for an urban club? I know lots of those girls have had ass shots but is it possible to get hired without them?

Atlanta is a mass of bureaucracy and red tape from what I've gathered. They don't seem to be traveler friendly at all. If you want info on Miami KOD seems to be the premier urban club. They have spawned a few quasi celebrities of questionable fame like Blac Chyna. From what I've seen on youtube you have to have INSANE ass and pole skills.
