Default MediaFire - Some of us have already figured this out...

    Thread I am referencing:
    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...=photo+hosting

A few months ago, I searched the forum for a way to host photos. I saw that everyone used MediaFire, awesome! I signed up last month for free, and just paid for a years membership today. Who reads the ToS when you already know awesome girls that use it?

Upon sharing a link with my husband to my sexy new Valentine's Day photoset for this month, he tried to download my files, and was told abruptly that he could not because they violated ToS. WHAT?! This is news to many people, apparently. As I just read in this other thread...

    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...d-of-mediafire

... That not many of us knew it was against the ToS. So, sometime between last October and this month, the ToS changed, and I thought it would be awesome to make an official post that MediaFire does not allow pornographic material, stated thus so:

You agree while using MediaFire Services, that you may not:

"... Distribute Content that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, unlawful or promotes or encourages illegal activity;..."

Greaaaaaaaat. Good thing there's a 30-day money back guarantee for anyone that's signed up lately. My fingers are crossed that this new website, CamRedeem, will work to our benefit. I just wanted to warn you ladies: if you still use MediaFire, you may want to back up all of your images.

You can rename the file title to something random non-sexual and it will download from the same link XD thats how I've been fixing the problem, apparently it has to do with file titles and not so much people reporting them. Though in the meantime...yeah be looking for somewhere else to host the files.

I took the photos down so that I won't get my account terminated randomly at least. My roommate actually paid my $18/year membership fee for me just to get started, and now this. I'd rather take the photos down and get the refund, instead of get terminated. :p Also, I'm apologizing to the forum mods right now for this thread. I know MediaFire has been brought up several times last year, I just wanted to make it confirmed that they really aren't the best option anymore.

Yeah, I stopped using Media Fire just recently. They told me the reason, and I said because I'm not gonna pay $9/month for my videos to keep getting deleted/flagged/blocked or whatever. Then they said "Well send us the video you're referring to so we can look into this." Ha! LOL. I'm not giving them the video...lol.

So I'm done with MF and am using Cam Redeem now.

And, by the way, I did the 'rename my files and then reupload them to MediaFire' thing, and guys were still telling me it wasn't letting them access the videos. There's another active thread on here about Media Fire and Cam Redeem, and somewhere in that thread I posted a link to the Amber Cutie forum thread all about Cam Redeem.

yea I've seen a few top models say they had to leave MF in the past few months, they tried changing the names but were still taken down.

Is CamRedeem listed as "Adult Friendly" in its TOS? Just wondering if anyone knows, specifically. Thx!

I was reading on CamRedeem, and once it becomes more stable I plan on using it. It was a site created especially for camgirls that need to host and sell their photos. I did change all of my file names on MF so that I can at LEAST distribute my V-Day photoset. I'm looking into private domain or CamRedeem for long term though.

Here is the link to the thread that the rep posted
    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...ght=cam+redeem
I just signed up and posted some vids and so far I love it! I like that I can post a thumbnail and description so I know whic videos are which. I have like 4 b/j videos on mediafire that I get confused all the time lol. I have so many videos I lose track. I know they're planning on adding some really cool features so I hope everything goes well as they continue to beta test it =)

And just today I had 5 files not work on me with custies on MF which blows because I just renewed my yearly subscription of the pro package. The price is right but it is missing some feature I would like to see and this re uploading thing is getting old =/ Especially when I have over 100 videos to keep track of on their site. Ugh it seems like everyday Im re uploading and renaming files. Cant blame them for that though. It is in the Terms lol

I asked for my money back the day I signed up and came across that thread, they told me there was no guarentee and I wouldn't get my money back. Could have fooled me with that whole "30 day guarantee" across the top of the page! Haven't been caught but it sure comes in handy when sleazy asshats try and spread my videos around the net using mediafire :p

Does anyone know if mediafire will show the video as violation of terms only to the custy but not us? Some guys tell me that their files isn't working for this reason but when I try the download link myself in my url it just allows me to download it without the violation message.
