    Question Stretch Mark Help

    Hey everyone,
Going on my third pregnancy and usually my body would re-use my old faded stretchmarks (lol), but this time around I seem to be carrying higher up and I'm getting some new ones I'm aware that skin elasticity is hereditary, so there's not a whole heck of a lot I can do, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any good lotion tips. I know there's some really expensive stuff out there, but I'd prefer just to go cheaper route since I doubt it would help that much anyway, and frankly I'm saving up for more important things at the moment. But I still want to feel like I'm doing something to combat it. My skin loves retinol A and that helps fade scars, but I have a heck of a time finding it in products. (And turns out there are different types of retinol they put in products and I'm not quite sure of the difference.) Any advice is appreciated!

Castor oil. I've had some stretch marks from middle school puberty and they're almost gone now. Also some recent ones on my hips are gone. And they were deep and red, too. I'm seriously addicted to this stuff now. And you can buy it at almost every health food store and some supermarkets. But at the store I go to, it's not where they keep all the other oils. It's like by where they keep the toothpaste and body soaps and skincare stuff. It all depends where you go

Besides using a combo of cocoa/shea butters and coconut oil twice a day, after you're back to your job (whatever that is: stripping, camming, etc), use green concealer, foundation, powder, and seal it with Sally Hansen airbrush.

i did as much moisturizing as i could and still have huuugggee tears in my skin from being pregnant. sometimes your skin just won't stretch as well as other peoples, especially if you have light, fragile, thin skin like me i'm using the dermal roller that injects keratin back in skin and its working pretty well *fingers crossed* . you should still slather it with tons of moisturizers, stop smoking if you do, drink tons of water, and keep a heathy fit pregnancy weight.
other than that i would definitely go with what Jay12 said about the makeup!

I put coconut oil on mine twice a day. It seems to help a little.

Its expensive as hell, but I swear it works. It's called strivectin SD and it's at sephora. I used it on my boobs/legs and I seriously saw a difference before I even finished the two weeks. The reviews are decent on it, if you get it you have to let it absorb all day (wait to shower, put on after only) There are smaller bottles instore than the online one so like 60-100$ range. I think it's worth it though because oils and lotion wasn't enough for me.

I've heard about this from a few girls now, I'm going to try it out! Do you use the normal wrinkle one or the intensive one for stretch marks and wrinkles?

Also, it seems like Sephora stopped carrying it in stores :/

I have some clear ones and haven't found anything that works on them yet. Most are like 10 years old or more though, so it might be too late. My skin has really poor elasticity and will get stretch marks if I gain like 7 lbs. Sucks, but its mostly genetic. I'm going to try bio oil and will post about my results.

It's definitely expensive, but maybe see if you can get a payment plan for laser treatment? Care Credit is good from what I hear.

Ok if your sephora is out you may be able to ask them to order some for you? My sephora is really nice when they are out of stuff I always just tell em and it's there in a week or two. ORRR Ulta sells it too, but I know they are not located everywhere.

I use the intensive one, but I got a lil bottle of the regular for my face. I tried the intensive on my face and it was way too tingly/made me redfaced. I love this stuff, you don't need to rub a whole bunch on just don't let your other body lotions mix on your skin.

oh- and I have tried bio oil and it didn't do anything. It's nice to mix up with lotion though if you're super dry that day

I have the old white stretch marks all over my butt It seems to run in my family though because my 2 younger brother have it in the same spot too and none of us have ever been overweight or anything. After trying almost every oil and cream (from cheap to expensive) I have finally decided on derma rollers like simone. I purchased the 1.5mm for mine after reading reviews for almost a year. I plan to use it with rose hip oil to start with, I just got it in the mail today so I'll buy the oil tomorrow and keep you updated.

I have been through atleast 3 big bottles of Bio Oil. I have to say it does make my stretch marks look less visible when I apply it EVERY morning and night but as soon as I stop for a few days they just appear again. I still use it sometimes though because it is a good moisturizer. I have some friends who swear by it for scars but it just doesn't work for me.

I am finally seeing results with my dermaroller. I've been at it for about 5 months now (I roll hard 1x per month). I'd say 30% reduction and I plan to keep it up till December. My stretch marks were all really old when I started.

Good to hear shy! What mm do you use and where are your stretch marks? Do you use any creams or oils with it? I'm going to roll once a month also and I can't wait to start! I just gotta get my butt down to the pharmacy to get my rosehip oil. I'm happy it's working for you!

You can buy them on Amazon and Ebay, however I recommend to purchase yours from www.dr-roller-shop.com OR www.owndoc.com. It is a bit more expensive there but better quality also. I've heard good reviews from the Amazon and Ebay ones, and I know you can buy them from other places too- I just bought mine from drrollershop cause I heard they are the best. My ones cost $49.95 each, I'd be damned if I'm going to skimp on quality stainless steel when it comes to pushing needles into my skin.

If you're interested to know more about dermarolling then I suggest you read www.homedermarolling.org. I swear I read that blog everyday for over a year and it's what convinced me to try it. You can also find a lot more information on google about it, lots of beauticians use this for acne scars/stretch marks and charge $100 per session.

I use 1.5 mm. No creams, but I use a homemade vit. C serum every morning. My stretch marks are on my hips and ass.
