I had like 100-200 ppl on my mailing list and every time I sent out a newsletter there'd be a shit ton of views. But then I realized that out of those 200 ppl that only 3-5 were spending money on me. I ended up closing everything down and moving to a new niche.
What's messed up is that I felt guilty for changing niches and abandoning my fan-base. As a last hurrah I sent out a final newsletter saying that I switched niches and posted links to the new content. The fans didn't spend a dime but the guys who spent on me in the past brought some of my new content. Within a couple of months of switching niches I made more money then I did in those 2yrs of doing my old niche and dealing with my old "fans". I no longer felt guilty after that.
I think too many ladies/ppl spend too much time building/wasting their time on a fan-base. Like myself ppl fail to realize the difference between a fan and a customer. You want a customer-base not a fan-base. Fans don't spend $$. They just admire you, appreciate the free stuff that you give them, and that's it. Fans don't mean shit.. Customers are the ones who mean everything. Excuse my frankness but because of my experience I've come to not like fans. I ignore anyone who tells me that there one. I like, appreciate, and only want to deal with Customers. Fans can kick rocks and ran across hot coals. Don't waste your time like I did focusing on fans aka ppl that will never spend. Spend your time focusing on customers aka ppl that show their admiration through $$.
