    Default Making Your Own Schedual/Hours?

    Hi everyone,

Ill be new to dancing here and this website has helped me tremendously I am curious though, when your a dancer do the clubs your working for usually let you make your own schedual? Im kinda curious because I currently work in a shitty retail job (I hate retail in general, and I REALLY think ill enjoy being a dancer). Basically I would like to
work more as a dancer (for awhile atleast haha) and then maybe work at the mall 1-2 days a week being very part time there just so Im doing something in the normal world..... while having dancing my main priority. Im just scared if I do that maybe the club wont give me as many hours as I had hoped for....

I guess my main question is, Do you get to make your own scheduals generally AND are you guaranteed decent/good hours working as a stripper lol

    Thanks much appreciated

Sweetie once again, this varies so much by club.

We're all here to help, but you've posted a lot of really specific questions! I'm one of those people who likes to understand *everything* about an industry/activity/whatever before I pursue it, so I understand your level of curiosity, but all of the questions you've posted so far would easily be answered by management on the night of your audition -- so just get on in there and GO FOR IT! You're already better prepared than the majority of women entering this industry because you've found this website.
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

Some states forgot what "independent contractor" means

Depends on the club. However, whatever schedule or hours you decide on, whether it's a club that lets you come and go as you please, or one where you're required to be there when they tell you, I would say you need to keep your schedule consistent week by week. It makes it easier for customers who like you to find you. Girls who just show up random nights and shifts are probably going to have some difficulty getting regular customers without a good amount of OTC communication, and no new dancer should be doing that.

Agreed. Working a regular shift is the one of the best things you can do for your income because it makes cultivating regulars, especially somewhat irregular ones who don't come in often, so much easier.
