Duh another question from my nonstripping struggling just to audition behind

Gosh I post a lot of questions. ...i feel like I'm from another planet sometimes...sorry... But I've been having trouble getting hired...I've had 2 clubs turn me away before I even audition claiming to have too many girls (and with the size of club vs amount of girls I'm convinced)..My options are only neighborhood clubs since I'm gownless and broke for now . Problem with nyc neighborhood clubs they don't always answer the phone. I've called, emailed even resorted to social media and no luck Would it be out of line to just walk into a club and ask for a manager? Also would anyone suggest a good time to go in most clubs im considering are open 8pm - 4am should I go early like 730 or a little later 10ish. Another question one club advertised amateur night, I'd like to try it out regardless but had some ever gotten hired this way or is it just for kicks?

I think you're really overthinking sm of these things. Just jump in. Why would it be out of line to simply walk in off the street? It's really no different than applying for any other job. Calling to schedule an audition/learn what's what can definitely save time but you can go in off the street as well, just go in made-up & have your dance bag in the car in case they want you to start that nite.

Whatever kind of outfit you're trying on, gown/bikini/costume/whatever, simply look for smtg that is not overly tight/restrictive (made this mistake myself w/ a lovely floor-length number that was just a little too snug in the bodice & had to struggle onstage to get out of it haha), you won't trip over, & is easy to get out of/put back on quickly. Shop around, online & in stores.

Your in the City, you have a lot more choices in shopping for shoes and costumes than most girls starting out.Look online for specific stores for dancers, and shop there NOT the prom shop...Totally a different type of gown.

If you're trying to work in the city, you need a long gown most of the time.
