Default 4-Figure Nights? What's the Secret?

I've been dancing about 6 months now, and I've never had a $1000+ night after tip out yet. Even on the days when I feel like I'm busy during my entire shift (which is 8 hours long), I still can only manage about $800 or so. For you ladies that do it semi-regularly, what's the secret? Is it mostly just luck? Is it because you ask for big tips and get them? Do you have regulars? Or do I just need to have better time management skills? Oh, and if it matters, I generally work day shift.

800 for day shift is pretty good. Try working nights and see if you break four figures.

What are your VIP options? I very rarely make over $1,000 doing only lap dances so I focus more on finding a customer to spend hours in the VIP.

$1000 a shift just isn't feasible in some clubs because of clientele or dance/VIP structures. All you can do to maximize your earnings is up your hustle and the little tips you already outlined in your post. There's no shame in making $800, especially on a day shift, so don't bring yourself down by comparing your earnings against anonymous posters on a stripper forum.

We have 3 options for VIP. The first doesn't require the customer to buy a bottle, and it is $500/hour and $250/half hour (dancer keeps half.) The second is $300/hour or $160/half hour for the dancer's time (we get to keep it all), plus the cost of a bottle, which starts at $180. They have to buy a new bottle after every hour and a half. The third option......I'm not really familiar with, I just know it's more expensive. (I should actually probably find out about that.) My best shifts are almost always when I can get some VIP time, but I have never been able to get a guy to stay past an hour and a half. (I think it's more of a financial issue rather than that they aren't enjoying their time.) I know that it's possible to break $1000 in my club, because I've heard of girls having $1500+ nights. I just don't know how to get there. :-/

Definitely find out what that third more expensive option is!

You really have to figure out what the most lucrative option for you in your club is and focus on pushing it to all your clients so you can maximize your time in the club. Now, assuming dances are $20 and songs are 4 minutes at your club, and in addition to the 2 VIP options you outlined, here's how I break it down:
•$300/hour for you doing regular lap dances for which the customer pays $300
•$250/hour for you in VIP 1 for which the customer pays $500
•$300/hour for you in VIP 2 for which the customer pays $480 +

Right off the bat, that first VIP option is lame for both you (since it gets you the least amount of money) and the customer (since it costs him the most for that block of time and doesn't get him any more than regular dances). The second one is somewhat better since the customer gets a bottle for basically the same price as the first VIP option, AND you get $50 extra. So, push for the second VIP, of course asking for tips from everyone.

Generally, and this may or may not work depending on club rules/management, my favourite option is unofficial VIPs. Since you could make $300 doing regular lap dances, you could offer that "deal" to the customer. Framed against the VIPs (which cost him at least $200 more), it's a fucking steal. You could even charge $400 for an hour of your time and it'd still be a deal, plus even bigger win for you. You can keep them in a corner of the lap dance room or even go between the floor and the dance room if they're so inclined. Just set an alarm on your phone to help you track songs - or keep count of 15 in your head, though I've always liked showing them that I'm setting an alarm since they can't protest that you're ripping them off. You know your club best though, and if you think you're likely to get in trouble for this and are likely to get caught, stick with VIP #2.

Start asking for tips in VIP.

You'll find some girls don't believe in asking for tips after a customer has already paid several hundred dollars for a trip to the VIP room. Some even say that tips are normally included in prices so high. This is your judgment call entirely. Personally, asking for tips have always turned a 800 night into a 1000+ night. Ask and you shall receive!

My 4 figure nights come from booking multiple hours right away, it's 400 an hr for our champagne room so if a guy wants to go back there with me; instead of saying its 400, I say it's 800 for 2 hrs. If they want less time then I'll tell them the 400 an hr

@shanna dior - I've done the unofficial VIP thing, I'm pretty sure it's allowed in my club. The only bad part is that when you're actually in VIP, the DJ will skip you, whereas if you're in the LD room, they won't. I always worry that an interruption would ruin the mood and the guy wouldn't want to go back for more time after he had 3 songs to consider how much $$ he already spent. (It's not always possible to pay the DJs to skip you where I work. :-/) But now, HERE is a question: It's been sooo slow lately that I'm often the only one in the LD room with my customer. I usually try to upgrade to VIP by telling them, "Let's go somewhere more private." but I'd feel a bit silly saying that when we're literally the only ones in there, and we already have tons of privacy. How to upsell in that case?

^This is great. Also, like others have said, making $1000+ in a night comes from good tips, most of the time! Time-wise it's very hard to achieve this by simply doing lap dances, or even simply by doing VIP if you have a hard time selling more than a half hour/hour to one customer. But even still, never forget to ask for tips.
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

We have no VIP in my club and aren't allowed to skip off stage (though there is one DJ that always skips me and only me for some reason), so that's certainly a challenge. Do you have a set stage rotation? I don't work with that many girls, so I can estimate how long until my next stage set and sell a block of time accordingly. I wouldn't bother if I was up soon, but if I just got off stage, I know I have time.

In your case, you can push for the club's VIP when you know you're up on stage shortly. It's obviously less money than you could make in an unofficial VIP, but skipping stage is worth like 60$+ of dances (or however many songs you miss out on), so it's not so bad in that situation.

If you can't tell when you're up next, I'd make it clear to the customer so they don't feel ripped off thinking they get your undivided attention. Frame it in a way like it's no big deal or a lot of time and that it doesn't count as part of their hour IF it even comes up. And make sure you get paid upfront so they can't peace out while you're on stage.

As for upselling in an empty club - I assume the VIP rooms are different? Focus on aesthetics and how uninterrupted it is. At any time, the lap dance room could fill up, this eliminating your privacy. You could get called up on stage, also interrupting your fun. The VIP room is much cozier, more comfortable, etc.

Yes def Strategize which option will make you the most money and sell that like crazy. Once you get a customer back there, be mindful of the time and make sure to peak his interest as your time winds down. Something along the lines of this, you sold a half hour:

First 5-10 minutes: Start off energetic, get your drinks going, do some sexy dancing, get him worked up
Middle 10 minutes: Ask for a back rub, ask him questions and try to get an interesting convo going
Last 10 minutes: If he's engaged in a good conversation cozy up to him, rub his chest, keep it going. If the conversations not going so great, get the energy back up, start dancing sexy, get really into in. Emphasize how much fun you're having, how you love drinking with him, find him sexy.

I get a feel for the timing and try to follow this guideline. You expend less energy and waste less time by channeling a method to keep your guy back there rather than having to find a new guy, explain the options, convince him, and then the process of running his card. But remember to adapt to each specific customer. If he's into the whole gf experience thing, go with that. If he's very sexual maybe throw in some made up sex stories and stick with keepin that mood going. If he's all about his own ego, throw in the compliments. Keep him wanting more towards the end of your time.

Another thing that helps me is learning to manage my overall shift time. I used to sit around and waste a lot of time on my phone. Now I try to make money any moment I can. I'll ask to go on stage. Go to the back to freshen up. One night it was REALLY dead with only a few "bar bum" regulars that never spend on dances. I had one buy me a drink then said, "Let's play a little game to liven things up. Give me a 20 and I'll go change into a different outfit and you can tell me which looks better!" So on and on it went and to my surprise I made 80 bucks off him! Soo get creative when the situations dire and always work on your "craft"
