    Default Kitty Care!

Wasn't sure what to call it but I like alteration!
How do you keep your pussy happy? How do you look after the skin on your vulval area and surrounding?
I want to moisturise there but aside from coconut oil I'm not sure what's safe? I've used perfumed body butters there and it stang a little so that's a no.

I also want to know how best to care for the skin on your labia and surrounding after shaving? I'm looking into laser but a girl I know was burnt by it so I'm a little scared now.

I've heard about using rubbing alcohol or surgical spirit, facial cleansers as they're gentle enough, and I've heard that T-Tree is gentle enough to use on bumps and spots caused by shaving.
Any tips? I couldn't find a similar thread but I'm sure I've seen one before-apologies if there is one.

I totally thought you were talking about kittens and lol when I opened this thread!

Since I'm here I'll answer though

I try not to use any scented products and to keep things as natural as possible. Besides coconut oil I like jojoba oil a lot. It's similar as the oils in your skin so it helps keep it balanced and not too dry or too moisturized.

I want to get laser and/or electrolysis soon too! I hate how I can still see the stubble after shaving and I can't wait that long for my hair to grow so I can wax. Ugh!

I had laser done. Worked while I was having treatments. I haven't had treatments in a year tho. Within six months of stopping treatment completely it started growing back. so you have to have regular "maintenance" done I guess.

Tea Tree Oil is amazing stuff I agree-I've not used it on my pussy as I thought it may be too harsh but I will do now!

Lol sorry!I didn't know what to call it! I didn't want to put 'vagina' as that's the inside bit, I hate the word 'Vulva', pussy just reminds me of 'puss' as in the stuff that comes up in an infection... No nice words!haha.

I've always had problems shaving but I've been put off laser because of the fact my skin's so sensitive, It's expensive and I wasn't sure if it would work.

That puts me off too ! :/ did it hurt your skin at all?
Well I've lopped hair off ever since it arrived so that's about fifteen years of it and I want to take care of my skin down there and keep it soft.
I've tried hair removal creams-they're too harsh I have been waxed but it's not good for us as the hair growing back is a problem, I've even plucked but that HURTS!
I think my skin's stupidly sensitive though. With hair removal creams I've burnt myselfl, got horrible huge spots that were infected badly, I even got a BOIL once! Ugh-right at the crease at the very top of my leg-eventually it went but I've still got a tiny pimple there, usually invisible.
I'll put tea tree oil on it I think.
I have little bumps from shaving that are just flesh coloured and nobody notices them but me but they make me feel gross. Nothing's ideal, is it :/

I caught a HORRIBLE infection from shaving once, that actuallly put me in hospital! Bacterial infection that spread and I needed an anti-biotic drip.
A girl I work with had laser on her face and she got horrible burns from it.. And my Sister has laser for acne scars, she's put me off too because she says how much it hurts her. I know that's different though.
    Thanks for all replies everyone

^These are both great, natural and easy on the skin (coconut oil is also an anti fungal-so that doesn't hurt lol).
I'm guilty of using feminine hygiene sprays/wipes before/while working. But unscented baby wipes are better and shouldn’t irritate you if you’re sensitive. Also, I use the old roll on deodorant application trick after shaving to prevent shaving rashes-works a treat!

Yeah, I've had a few laser treatments-but not enough to remove everything permanently. It's hard, because I have sensitive skin in general and the skin goes really red for days afterwards gr. If you try it, just make sure you aren't working that night as it could be uncomfortable. I think it's something you do need to keep up on a regular basis, over a long period of time to see results. It also doesn't work well on blonde hair apparently (incase you are wanting legs or anything else done).

apparently laser hair removal is not totally permanent, but electrolysis is... although electrolysis is more expensive and takes longer

my laser hair removal was permanent. its almost impossible to get all the hairs but 95% of mine have been gone for almost 2 years. you have to make sure you go to a place with the most updated laser, they are updating them all the time. lightsheer diode is acceptable but lightsheer duet is the best. the duet is completely painless too. I may get electrolysis to get the remaining fine hairs, since laser cant get hairs that dont have pigment.

I moisturize with eucerin repair cream. its amazing and non irritating.

Thanks everybody. I'm going to look into laser definitely.
Since starting this thread, don't know if law of attraction at work but-I've damaged my pussy. I think I've either shaved to close to the inside, or chlorine has affected it (went swimming first time in years in a public pool) or both
It's red and sore inside. I've also got a bump which I think is an ingrown hair. I've put tea trea on it. I HATE having anyting wrong there-honestly would rather my face was covered in zits and I grew a boil on the end of my nose, than have this sore redness I've got now
I've cleansed with weak salt water and put on anti-septic cream. I hope it clears up after I've had some sleep.

Laser hair removal is permanent, BUT only for the hairs that are actively growing when you get it done. And you need to have the right type of laser for your skin/hair color, right settings, a good tech, etc. Regardless it will never get every single hair. It's been a little over a year since my last treatment (6 total), and while I do have hair I have to shave, it is so soosososososososososo much sparser than it was before. Less hair = less razor burn!

This forum has a lot of helpful info if you're considering it:

Oh, and if your city has Groupon/other social coupon sites, keep an eye on those for deals. Full price LHR is crazy expensive!

Thanks Aloe. I've currently got a really sore undercarriage think my skin's chapped from shaving and my leggings/knicks have rubbed it -I went for a run today and it hurt and showering hurt but when I looked, there's nothing to see at all. I've put anti-septic cream on-anybody know anything else I could do?

i used to have that ( the past few days my errmm..rectal area.. has been itching FURIOUSLY because i shave too much and its dry). i stopped taking baths with lots of soap, swimming with too much chlorine, harmful spray and washes. use only fragrance-free baby wipes while at work. aloe vera gel should help on the outside i believe! as well as taking a break from shaving. i hear the dry electric razors that men use don't hurt as much as the razor? im going to try it too. i'd also go to the doctor to get some medication and get it checked out! good luck, a sore kitty is no fun

It actually makes me really miserable! If it still feels sore tomorrow I'll go to the doctors and see if I can get something for it. I've had some horrid shaving injuries/conditions so every time I get something wrong even very minor I'm like 'Ah fuck not again!' and get all paranoid and upset until it goes! I've used coconut oil and antiseptic cream. If it feels better tomorrow I'll be happy.

Exfoliation is key!! Razor burn I think is from ingrown hairs , so I always make sure I'm exfoliated and moisturized w a natural body wash before shaving w a very good razor. I also shave last so the hot water in the shower opens my pores. Nd use an all natural lotion afterwards. My kitty is pretty it works never any bumps or probs.

I bought a Silk'n. It's an in-home laser thingy and I loved it! It worked really well while I was able to afford the cartridges, so I was only able to treat twice a month for 3 months. But, twice a month is only around 100 for carts depending on the thickness and coverage of hair...so much cheaper than office laser! I didn't keep the schedule up as I should have, but the hair was pretty much disappearing. As far as lotions/creams, I use the same thing one above recommended eucerine original healing, there are no perfumes or dyes so it shouldn't irritate at all. Also, someone above recommended tendskin, and it is an excellent product, but very expensive at like 20-30 for 8oz bottle, you can google homemade tendskin for the recipe to make it urself, but its alcohol, aspirin, and witchazel.
I never met a toy I didn't like...well as long as it vibrated, anyway.

I used Silk'n but very very expensive and the kind of lazer I would need is a lot. I shave bare and when not at a club actually use this stuff in a can called "Bag balm" Its originally made for cow boobs that constantly got a milking thing on them. I love the stuff. even after a wipe off my skin and lips still have this Glow to them without any make up. The glow makes it look smother and cleaner shaved Im told.
