    Exclamation Moving to Houston

I will be moving to Houston in a few months to be a full time dancer. I was wondering, how I would go about getting a apartment.

    ^Seriously.

You find an apartment in Houston the same way you find an apartment anywhere else. Have you only ever lived with your parents? I could see how it'd be a bit confusing to figure out how you find housing if that's your case, but it really doesn't vary too much by city. Google 'apartments in Houston' and you'll find online listings, then go from there. Good luck!

I was saying as far as showing proof of income... Does anyone know the process as being a dancer.

Have you been filing taxes? You could show previous tax returns or bank statements as proof of income. Other dancers have had luck having managers state their earnings on letterhead. Others have falsified pay checks or tax returns. Others have been lucky to have someone to co-sign so as to not have to worry about showing proof of income. Different rental agencies/landlords may accept different things, but generally, if you offer to pay for several (3+) months upfront, many will not be as strict in requesting proof of income.

You can get a letter from your club and that should be good..I would let the apartments know you are a dancer up front.. generally they will rent to you.. Houston is a huge city, I would do serious research before you just move into an apartment.. Houston is one of those places that looks can truly be deceiving.. If it sounds to good to be true it is.. for a one bedroom look to spend at least 600$ .. in houston you maybe supposedly have to get a license but no one really knows.. Its cost almost 300$.. You have to wear liquid latex and full bottoms.. however, most clubs the house mom will apply it for you.. Treasures, Privilege, and Diamonds are some good clubs out there.. I would honestly recommend you take a trip out there before you decide to move.. I have been out there twice.. both times I hated it.. its not within my boundaries.. and there are too many men trying to sell a dream.. be careful.. Good Luck
