    Default Start up costs?

Just auditioned and got the job! My first shift is either this Thursday or Friday, so until then I'm working on building my dancer wardrobe. What would you say is the bare minimum (dresses/shoes/thongs) I need to start? Most of the girls at my club dance in mini dresses and thongs. How many dancer clothes did you start out with? Just a bit confused about how much I actually need for now. Thanks!

Don't build a dancer wardrobe just yet. Your opinion on why looks good and works best will likely change a fair bit between now and when you've had some time on the club. Get yourself shoes now, which can be found for quite cheap online, and either work with what you've got in your closet/lingerie drawer or just pick up some basics like a couple of g-strings and a dress or two.

Shanna's pretty much said what I would say. Shoes are an essential-I know a lot of girls who wear normal high heels but I don't know how their feet cope lol

I started dancing with 3 cheap looking outfits which I got a lot of shit for from the other girls (Lol), but the customers didn't ever have a problem with them. After that, I slowly started building my wardrobe as my earnings started to increase. I 100% agree with Shanna and would have to say don't worry about spending a bunch on outfits right now. However you will need a good pair of stripper heels which (in my experience) normally run anywhere from 50-80 dollars.

You figure out things that suit you by looking at what other girls wear and getting ideas, as well.

Get a good pair of dance shoes with a strap.. make sure they fit good.. I would start of with 2-3 outfits.. if you have regular club dresses I would wear them.. I did when I first dancing..

I feel a bit silly admitting this but, I still have the same dress I bought when I began dancing. (Over ten years ago!)Just a little black strappy minidress. I don't wear it because it's a bit worn out but I have one very similar, style hasn't dated at all!

You realise what sort of stuff suits you as you go along though. 2-3 outfits at first is fine-makes your bag smaller too! Especially when you're new-you may see some girl wearing something amazing that you never thought would suit you-copying exactly not a great idea but something similar for when she's not wearing it or when she leaves the club or in a different colour...

Congrats on the job. You may wanna check out the Body Biz section, search there for links to online clothes/shoes. Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned, sometimes Ebay has some good deals on stripper stuff.

It's a good idea to wait until you see what seems "standard" for your club too, before you spend a bunch. Not that you want to blend in or look the same as everyone else, but at some clubs everyone wears classy dresses, other clubs have crazy go-go outfits. After a few shifts, you'll be able to figure out what's acceptable and not, and also see where you might find a bit of a gap in the market in terms of looks.

^ It'll be fine most likely! Once you see what other people are wearing, you can get more based on what you end up liking in the club.
