I'm a little confused about how Streamate classifies trans models. There seem to be two categories at signup: "Shemale" and "Trans (M to F)".
I also see that on the main page there's a "Transexual / Shemale" category and a "Transgender / Tranny" category. So my assumption is that in total there are two categories for transgender women:
* Shemale / Transexual
* Transgender / Tranny / Trans (M to F)
Now obviously this terminology is a bit ambiguous. By the definitions I've come to accept:
Transgender refers to anyone who is not cisgender; i.e. anyone who does not identify as the gender they were assigned at birth. This includes transexuals, genderqueer people, etc.
Transexual means someone who specifically identifies as the opposite gender on the binary spectrum from what they were assigned at birth, and usually implies a degree of or a desire to undergo surgery / hormone therapy / get implants.
The other terms listed (shamble / tranny / etc.) are all slang and have no concrete definitions.
So... I really don't understand the difference between the two categories, and *see* no difference on the site - other than that their appear to be more broadcasters in the former than the latter.
Am I missing something here? If not, which do you think gets better traffic / revenue? Which do you think I should sign up as, given what I've described about my gender and anatomy?
Also: can I change from one category to the other after I sign up, or if I choose "Shemale" now for instance am I stuck with that permanently?
