    Default Best Site For A Transgender, Submissive, BDSM-Oriented Girl?

    Hi there! ^_^

    I'm new to camming, but it's been something I've wanted to for a while. I've done some porn shoots before, but it's hard to find regular, steady work in that regard - so this has the obvious appeal to me of being something I can do at any time, anywhere and that I really enjoy!

    That said... I'm a bit of a unique case.

    Let's start with my gender: I'm a transgender woman. Anatomy wise, I have a cute face (esp. with how I do my makeup); a slim, femme, cute figure; a fantastic bubble butt; small breasts that I shade with makeup to pop a bit; and an eight-inch cock between my legs :3 I'm usually completely hairless all over, aside from my long curly hair. I have a very cute bubbly personality that compliments my femininity.

    Another thing: I'm very, very kinky. I'm heavily involved in the local kink scene, am polyamorous with a number of play partners - some of whom do Couple shows with me on occasion. I am mostly a bottom, and a heavy one. I'm very submissive, very eager and very masochistic. As such, my toy collection that I can use on cam extends far beyond the Hitachi and dildo-or-two into butt plugs, paddles, floggers, rope, chastity devices, clothespins, etc.

    I'm very exhibitionistic; I have no problem with being seen, used and objectified on cam. In fact, it turns me on <3.

    I'm a professional, somewhat virtuosic musician - and really enjoy incorporating my bass playing, guitar playing and / or keyboard playing into my shows when called for. I can play any genre, any song on the fly - so requests are very easy.

    I'm also a programmer, and have really enjoyed using that skill set to design apps for Chaturbate (where I have cammed so far) that allow me to make my shows unique ^_^

    -------

    So, given this... unique scenario I'm in, what site would you recommend I try? I've been having a go at Chaturbate as I have friends who work there. I like the app system and how the whole site is very accessible to both models and users; it's very easy to get started.

    However, it's been very difficult their as a trans model. While I do have much less competition than women - and thus very often am top cam while broadcasting - I still only average 30 viewers at any given time. The high has been maybe 300.

    Seeing as only a handful of these users actually have tokens to tip... well it's been a crapshoot. I made $100 in a four hours during my first show; but tonight I spent seven hours online and only made $15.

    Any thoughts on how to improve, or what other sites I should take a look at that might be better for my scenario?

    Thanks!!

    - Cadence

    Welcome!

    As far as sites that are trans friendly I would look into Streamate. Especially if you are in the U.S.! SM caters to mostly English-speaking customers and there are usually only 0-2 native English speaking trans models at a time so I'm sure you'll get lots of guys flocking to you for your language skills alone. Also I've noticed that a lot of girls on SM in that category have really grainy cam quality so if you have a good set-up with HD and all that will also set you apart in a really positive way.

    I would just say be careful advertising yourself as being submissive and into masochism. I am also submissive in my "real" life and it's totally different on cam. A lot of these cam customers who claim to be Doms really have no clue what they are doing, they do not know how to respect boundaries, they do not care about your personal safety and have no sense of safe, sane, and consentual. Seriously, in almost three years I have only come across ONE- count it- ONE gentleman who was heavy into the BDSM scene who was actually able to do more extreme shows with me in a safe and almost loving way. I say "loving" because we built up quite a relationship over the months, we would do hours long shows on a regular basis, he knew all about getting me into sub-space safely and would stay on cam with me after each and every play we did to ensure that I came down okay, he knew how to ask me questions and pick up on my non-verbal cues and respected if he was pushing me a little too hard too fast. This guy was one in a million, I dare say from my personal experience that instead of finding Doms like him you will only find "Doms" who get their jollies seeing how extreme and dangerous they can make you go for a few bucks. Just my $0.02, be careful and maybe consider marketing yourself more as "extreme" than "submissive," I promise you will attract a much better fan base that way.

    Thank you so much to those of you who have replied!! This help is invaluable.

    @Courtney: I see what you're saying about 0-2 English-speaking trans models at a time -- that will surely help me to stand out.

    I'll definitely look into getting an HD camera too. I mostly use my Macbook Pro's built-in iSight at the moment, but occasionally sync my android phone's 8 MP camera to my computer and that streams in HD. The trouble is that drains my phone's battery, even when plugged into the wall, so I don't know I could do a full shoot that way... any recommendations for a cheap HD cam that works with Mac and Streamate's interface? :3

    I'll bear that all in mind re: submission. However I will say that to be honest, the only kind of safety I am concerned about online is that which could compromise my identity. I'm fairly used to playing in scenarios wherein I have to be careful to police my own limits and ensure my own safety, and so I don't see any dominant getting me so far off into subspace via a cam session that I would truly harm myself.

    That said, if you think that marketing as "extreme" over "submissive" would be better in terms of building business and attracting clients, I'm definitely willing to go there. What are your thoughts, given all of that?

    @Marina Thank you!! ^_^

    I'm a little confused about how Streamate classifies trans models. There seem to be two categories at signup: "Shemale" and "Trans (M to F)".

    I also see that on the main page there's a "Transexual / Shemale" category and a "Transgender / Tranny" category. So my assumption is that in total there are two categories for transgender women:

    * Shemale / Transexual
    * Transgender / Tranny / Trans (M to F)

    Now obviously this terminology is a bit ambiguous. By the definitions I've come to accept:

    Transgender refers to anyone who is not cisgender; i.e. anyone who does not identify as the gender they were assigned at birth. This includes transexuals, genderqueer people, etc.

    Transexual means someone who specifically identifies as the opposite gender on the binary spectrum from what they were assigned at birth, and usually implies a degree of or a desire to undergo surgery / hormone therapy / get implants.

    The other terms listed (shamble / tranny / etc.) are all slang and have no concrete definitions.

    So... I really don't understand the difference between the two categories, and *see* no difference on the site - other than that their appear to be more broadcasters in the former than the latter.

    Am I missing something here? If not, which do you think gets better traffic / revenue? Which do you think I should sign up as, given what I've described about my gender and anatomy?

    Also: can I change from one category to the other after I sign up, or if I choose "Shemale" now for instance am I stuck with that permanently?

    Dear Cadence,

    We would love to have you at iFriends! As a matter of fact, we just sponsored Best Solo Model at the Tranny Awards last week, and it was an awesome time! At iFriends, we value our trans models and are happy to promote and feature them. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions whatsoever, or would like for me to create an account for you! We have a "GenderBender" category as well as "Fetish/BDSM" (you are not stuck in either and can change them at will) and think you would stand out nicely, as our trans section of the site is not over-saturated. Whatever you decide, good luck in your search!

    I honestly don't know the answer to some of your questions but I believe I am being listed as MTF. I preferred that over Shemale. I find that offensive in daily life. You can sign up for ImLive, Ifriends, etc and see which site works best for you!
