    Default Wishlists and P.O. Boxes

I'm thinking about investing in a P.O. Box for my amazon wishlist and I was wondering if you ladies thought it made a difference at all. Right now to get me a gift a guy has to tweet at me, ask me my email address and then send me a gift card, whereas with a P.O. box they wouldn't have to go through that process. For ladies with a P.O. Box, has adding that made a difference for you?

I'm pretty sure you can have a wish list on Amazon without revealing your address. I had one a while back and guys sent me gifts from it, but I don't recall it showing my address. I think it may have showed my city though (don't have it active anymore otherwise I would check)

It shows your city. And I'm from a very small town AND I lie about my location so I'm considering getting a P.O. box in Vegas. What I'm wondering is if girls think it's worth it or if I should just continue telling guys to send me gift cards.

I would stick to gift cards, he can choose an item from your wishlist, he sends you the gift card and you order it for yourself. I have ordered once from somebody´s wishlist from an individual - non-Amazon - shop. When I placed the order I could only see the city he lives in, which is already not really relaxing if you live in a small city. But... then I got an e-mail, addressed to him, containing his full address. And he got a delivery sheet... indicating my full address. It was not a problem, because we know each other. But this could cause severe problems for a camgirl.

Get a private mail box through a place like the UPS store. They accept mail from all carriers. A USPS PO Box does not. Plus a private mailbox is saver. Apparently people can find out who owns a PO Box if they want to.

This has been covered soooo many times, girl. You've been around, you know that. Please do a search b/c there's actually some really good info on the other threads. I know because I just got a private mailbox/mail forwarding & did a search to read about it first.

You're gonna get different answers on here, but if I were you I'd stick with accepting e-gift cards. Guys have actually gotten access to cam girls' addresses before when dealing with Amazon wish lists, so I always say to just stick with e-gift cards, to be on the safe side.

All I could find was HOW. And I already knew how. I just wanted to know if girls that had invested in a mailbox thought it was worth it. Sorry!

stick with giftcards. if a custie orders a gift to ur amazon address he can then add anything to it that he wants afterwards. so ive had custies do that then delete the item i wanted and just send me whatever he pleased becos he felt it was more 'personal' to suprise me with sumthing he picked out himself. and let me tell u this. men are shit at picking out gifts. i got sick of receiving useless crap and pretending i liked it.

Problem is, no one can really tell you that, since it depends on how much you'll be getting. If you get one gift every few months, then no it's not worth it, especially if you have to pay forwarding. The reason I was telling you to search the PO Box threads is b/c there are some issues with the PO releasing names used to sign up. If you do go that route, be careful.

Edit to add: I'm kind of mad about this today. The website is super misleading about shipping rates. They list the cost up to 13oz. What they don't tell you is that shipping DOUBLES once you go higher than that. I had something shipped that was 16oz & the extra 3oz cost TWICE what it should've. That's the post office's rate, not MailLink's rate, but still.

Also, they skim off the shipping. They buy their postage online so they get a discount, but then they charge the you the full rate. For me, this was a difference of about 50 cents for one package. Kind of BS. I don't know if I'll keep using this service if I don't start getting more expensive items off my wishlist, because the shipping is gonna kill me.

I think it's worth it... Well it would be worth it for me. I have some regulars who would much rather send me tangible gifts than a giftcard... It just makes them fell like they are doing more or something I guess..

I don't have a PO box and I have yet for anyone to send me something from my wishlist. I added items to my Amazon wish that I would like and next to it I put "Please purchase an E-gift card and indicate that you would like me to get this item". That way, if there is something specific they want me to have, I will get it.

I think they are worth it especially if you plan on sending items. Also, you can accept cash with a P O Box too if you wanted. You can opt for amazon wishlist items, post office bought money orders, and cash. I wouldn't except any random gift from a guy either, no crusty jizzed on boxers or severed cat heads for me please.

Amazon gives you the option to view the wishlist page as outsiders would see it. It will show the "name" of recipient and say whether the address is hidden. I'm sure you know this by now, but make sure to disable 3rd party purchases because they can view shipping info that way. If you mess up any of the info you can view it first and edit it. I just made mine last night and kept viewing that screen to make sure I didn't mess up before posting it.

On the USPS website it tells you the different sizes available. They can be rented for 6 months at a time too so you don't have to remember to pay every month. I know I want to invest in a PO Box once I have the customers for it though. I'm just not in a rush because my items are so expensive that I don't foresee anyone getting stuff for me anytime soon. (no regulars or big ballers yet) On another note, a model can NEVER be too careful when it comes to personal info!
