Default Is this corset good for dancing in a club?

Hi girls! Pardon my goofy facial expression in the picture! I have had this corset outfit in my closet for ages and since I am starting dancing on Tuesday I thought I would give it a few practice runs in my room.

I think it is sexy and pretty easy to dance in, but I have a few concerns which make me wonder if this is more of an at home item or is it OKAY for the club???

    1) Level of difficulty in removing is medium, zipper is on the side and actually not a good quality zipper ... seems like its not the best even though the corset fits big on me. I am worried that the zipper could break mid dance, but it so far has not broke!

    2) Must unsnap the garter belts to remove the corset, this causes the hosiery to fall down the legs. I do have other thigh high hosiery with that sticky stuff on the top ... so those are a possible alternative that do not slide down.

    3) Once the corset is removed it has a cute little matching thong and the hosiery stay on, which looks good, but I am worried that the zipper will break and maybe I am overdressed??? Is it too much fabric even though its eventually going to be totally removed? My song limit is 3 and a half minutes. And this item though it is medium to easy to remove, I cannot really get a sexy way to remove it.

    4) Maybe I should just cut off the garters altogether, or maybe this is just not a good outfit for the club?

If this is not a good outfit, and you have an idea why, please tell me so I do not have an epic on stage fail. I am trying a few others on and will post more pictures. Bear with me this is my first time posting the pictures online. Thanks for reading and the advice, Trixxi

Just get one with a good quality zipper. You will save yourself a lot of time and trouble.

Thank you!!! You are right that I should not have to be worried about the zipper breaking! I think it would really ruin the dance for me, especially on a first shift! I am thinking of just going with some simple lingerie instead. I do like the look of this but I don't think its made for real dancing.

It is really cute but in all honesty it looks like a nightmare. I have a corset from Fredrick's that is used as "bait". I wear it in between sets to entice the fish to VIP. It's a snap front corset but it's still a pain in the arse. I tell em "Well if you want me to take it off you better give me some incentive" (good day) "Fuck you, pay me" (average to bad day)

This. It's only a 'medium' hassle to you know, but I guarantee that you'll leave it in the dressing room after having to struggle with taking it off and putting it back on after 3x max. Do not underestimate the appeal of simple lingerie that you can slip on and off. Time is money, and you'll be wasting a lot of it with that corset and the garter belt. Not to mention there really is no sexy way to take them off on stage. Get a bra and panty set, or a nice dress, or really anything other than a corset and garter belt.

    Good luck tomorrow!

yeah, way too complicated to take off, and i think other outfits would be much more flattering and easy to shed gracefully and without having to worry!

If its your first time dancing I would be more worried about you getting nervous and fumbling with it awkwardly for too long. However, I love corsets so pull it back out and try it once you've been dancing there for a bit. I wear my thigh highs right under my butt so I always just let garter straps hang antways. And lace boy shorts look best with corsets in my opinion... If the thong works for the clubs regulations you can pull the lace boy shorts off when your taking off the corset. I find that a lot of girls just get naked and plop on the guys right away in lap dances but you can use layers of clothing to your advantage by teasing and being seductive at the beginning. A lot of times they're more apt to buy multiple dances from you too.
Just my opinion and personal experience though. Everybody and everyplace is different.
    Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! Wearing a bra and panties in the club is a million times easier than the corset was in practice runs at home! Maybe one day I will bring it out like tempest says to use as bait, but for now at the 'topless' club I work, bras and panties are the NORM for 99% of the girls. Even though I was thinking my stomach is a little too puffy to show off, now that I did the bras and panties for one whole shift I am not going back to anything else until my confidence in sexy clothing removal is higher.

Nope. And the garters look awkward as fuck.

Go to your local adult shop and buy a dress or a skirt set. Leg Avenue, Dreamgirl, etc. stuff often comes in little packages. Find something with a corset look like this perhaps: http://www.snaz75.com/la-28028.html

Or go with something more basic.... just make sure it is stretchy....

I think a flowy, silky dress would be very flattering on you and it would be easy to slip off (:

I'd recommend either an underbust corset or a camisole. I seriously won't even wear a bra that has more than two rows of clasps, and sagging stockings are incredibly annoying in addition to being sloppy looking.

I have a lace merrywidow that I always want to wear and don't for the reason that it's too difficult to get off. I feel your pain!

I'd also stay away from black clothing - it makes very light-skinned people look ultra light-skinned...not flattering! Plus, you won't show up in a dark club. Pick something that's flattering for your skin tone and isn't super tight since you have a curvier figure. I would also DEFINITELY get some standard stripper shoes instead of opting for a lower-heeled, close-toed version. Get a 6" platform shoe.

I disagree with this. I'm a pale girl and often wear black bra & panty sets to raving compliments. I do often also mix it up with colourful dresses on top, but I think the black offers a nice contrast against pale skin.

^ This massively depends on body type, IMO. My advice holds for the OP's situation, and is also true for most dancers IME. All-black works for some people, but not for most. It's just a good rule of thumb.

This is a good point, and it really all depends on what the other dancers tend to wear. If they ALL wear black, yeah, stay away from it. But if they're in pinks and neons, then it will seem very sophisticated and compelling, especially with pale skin!

I had that dress (the first one)! loved it, sold it to a girl at work 'cause she really wanted it and I didn't wear it all that much any more. I agree that sort of thing would look great on you OP.

Allow me to elaborate on my previous post....

    1. Lose the thigh-highs.

    2. Get a decent pair of stripper shoes that are comfy. From what I can see in the photo, your shoes are not appropriate for stripping.... I can't imagine they'll be very comfortable over the span of a multi-hour shift. Here are some options:
    http://www.snaz75.com/pl-sky-309.html
    http://www.snaz75.com/pl-kiss-248.html
    http://www.snaz75.com/pl-sky-308.html

    3. Invest in a better fitting thong. Find a thong that doesn't bunch up at the top of your booty crack. Try to get one that doesn't bisect your hips like the one you're wearing. I'm not being mean... I'm just letting you know the thong you are wearing is not flattering. It makes your butt look squooshed...
Instead, get something like this: http://themissionboutique.com/images/P/1165SL.jpg Notice how the string makes the booty look rounder, the legs seem longer, and it doesn't awkwardly scrunch up in the rear. Body Zone makes wide low back tee thongs--- these would be a good basic style for you: http://bodyzoneapparel.com/wide-low-...ee-1166sl.html

I have no idea what club you'll be working in (nude, gogo, topless, big club, small club, etc.). I can make other suggestions based on further info... Regardless of the club you'll be in, you should definitely leave this ensemble at home.

^ totally agree about the whole outfit, in particular the shoes and thong..be sure the thong doesn't come up too high though! that can look very dated and 80s and makes the butt look super long and flat..i find that a thong that come right below the butt crack makes it look round and bouncy..i think the thong you have is too tight, and the lace piece in the middle looks a bit akward. but yeah, the black semi sheer stockings look very matronly like smthg you'd wear to the office, and the shoes look half-way between too cutesy and dowdy/matronly/old ladyish. with your body type you are gonna want to elongate the legs with high, thin heeled stripper shoes, make the butt round and perky, and cinch in the waist more!

OP - I hope you aren't offended by our blunt comments/thoughts. Even a supermodel would look homely in an outfit that doesn't fit her body quite right. There's nothing wrong with your outfit per se; it's just that other options would be more flattering!

Hi girls I am not offended at all, this is awesome super and great, much needed advice!!! In my club with a lot of black lights I have found that my old white floral bra / panty from VS about a year ago is PERFECT!!! I cannot wait to purchase more outfits but for now I have 3 workable bra / panty sets and I just bought my first set of real shoes!!! I am very pleased with some 6 inch Tabu heels I bought at a sex shop. One thing I could not believe was how difficult it was to find the shoes, I had to call about 3 places before someone recommended ANOTHER place to go to, about 45 minute drive for me. But it was worth it, and the shop gave me a discount so I paid $65 instead of $90. Still a lot of money to invest, but my feet were hurting so much I figured it was worth it! I also want to note that all of the dancing in the last few days is such a work out that I am already wearing my belt with my jeans at the next hole down and I have'nt been able to wear the belt this tight in YEARS!!! Even after spending hours at the gym. I had no idea that I would work up so much sweat in a 3 and half minute song. Now I just have to work on my hustling! Thanks again for the advice and as soon as I get more money in my pocket I will definitely get some more outfits, I just gotta get the rent paid first!!! Ugh, one thing it seems most of the girls at my club have in common is: Money trouble

I thought her outfit was cute, it just looked like a bitch and a half to take off. I wore my "bait" corset tonight and I'll tell you what that was a bitch and 3/4.
