    Default Make-up and Hair tutorials

    Hey Ladies!

So I know about Goss Makeup Artist on youtube for make-up tutorials.... I was wondering if anyone knew of a hair guru for a complete noob when it comes to hair. Something with tons of clear instructions, visuals and hopefully easy to achieve styles. Not necessarily just "work" hair, I'm at a loss for even getting a pony tail right!

    Thanks!

I have a few favorites on YouTube when I'm feeling uninspired. "Thecherrydollface" hosts some really cute vintage, pin-up style tutorials. Here is a link to one of her earlier videos on victory rolls: . "ilovegerardo" also posts a lot of really cute pin-up tutorials. "CinthiaTruong" posts quite a few everyday and special occasion style tutorials, as well. I hope this helps Here are direct links to their pages:

Ugh. I'm 24, have watched a million tutorials, and still have problems curling my hair + can't put false eyelashes on. Maybe I'll have this figured out by the time I'm 30?

    >_<

^I'm still awful at false lashes too. I blind myself and pull out a few lashes every time I bother. The individual lashes look much easier though, and they appear more natural when worn compared to strips. I think I'm going to try them out soon.

And for OP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBAJJyJZdTM this is a tutorial by Michelle Phan for simple romantic curls. It's the only method that allowed me to keep curls in my super thick/fine hair. For straightening, I don't have any tutorials in mind, but you should look up how to do a blowout for yourself so that your roots have volume, then run a straightener through the ends. Starting the iron to high along the hair shaft will kill all that volume that you work up with the dryer.

Thanks for all the tips, ladies!

@TuesdayMarie: I'm the same way with band lashes, I just can't get them on! I have been using the individual lashes for about 3 years now and, you're right, WAAYYY easier to use and easy to alter looks (natural, flirty corners, very full). The pointed tweezer that comes with the combo pack is worth buying the pack (the glue/remover, not so much, avoid!). My rookie mistake was putting short/medium lengths in the left eye and medium/long on the right eye using the semi-permanent glue!
O_o <--- yeah, I looked like that for 2 weeks!

Just use regular lash glue, it doesn't sting as much as the semi-perm glue (even the fumes sting!), it dries clear or dark (semi-perm crusts up) and it's super easy to take off without pulling on your natural lashes.

Well, I have shaky hands, so there goes the false lashies. I think you have to learn to work w your hair texture/type, above all. Check out my straightening thread, if that's what you're into! Shameless plug!

    Inorite?

The closer my hands get to my face, the more they start to resemble spirit fingers.
