That's very interesting, I hope it goes through. I mean the herpes virus itself is pretty harmless, but I can imagine how irritating getting cold sores (and genital herpes sores!) must be so this is good news. I'm always happy to hear about advances in the medical field. I mean we have smart phones that can do just about everything, and technology is advancing so much, so I'd really like to see medicine heading in that direction. I've read material where some scientists project that they may have cures for cancer and AIDS within the next decade or two. That would be so awesome. There have already been cases of functional cures of cancer and AIDS, so it's possible.

That would be amazing, it's about time !

Yay for that and an article I read today about 14 adults being "functionally cured" (they still have the virus but its in such small amounts that it doesn't affect them and they no longer need to take meds) of HIV by getting high dosages of treatment very early after infection... kind of similar to the way they cured an infant recently... or at least got her to the point where HIV isn't showing up on a single test. I really think its possible to have cures for all these diseases soon but its more of a cautious optimism type thing because I really believe the drug companies have no interest in cures getting out when forcing people to take treatments their whole lives is so profitable. Plus I totally believe HIV is manmade. Herpes probably not but I definitely buy into the AIDs conspiracy.

Does anyone have any tips/tricks for cold sores anways? I tend to get them when I get sick or stressed. obviously a pain in the ass for our line of work. I can't let a cold sore ruin my monthly income....!!
I know if I skip my lysine supps for even two days i'll almost instantly get one. such a pain in the ass.
otherwise i just always wear chapstick, especially spf chapstick whenever i go outside. i'm so sensitive to them![]()
I go through phases of my life where I get them a lot, too. :/
I wonder if the Lysine supplements could be hurting, rather than helping? Instead of supplementing daily, I usually only supplement when I feel one of my triggers... Which are swollen lymph nodes, a fever, the feeling of getting a cold, a sun burn, a bad hangover, or eating too much arginine-rich foods (chocolate, peanuts, etc.)
Lysine works by suppressing the action of Arginine, which is necessary for the virus to replicate its DNA. An overabundance of lysine, when the virus isn't trying to replicate, might not do much for you.
And that's awesome about the nanoparticles, sugar! Thanks for posting. I wonder if the treatment is truly effective for latent forms of the virus, though? When it's dormant, it's hiding in nerve cells that aren't necessarily near the site of the outbreak. How does the treatment penetrate?! I'm so curious!! Lol.
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”
