Being in the top ten though, she must have a LOT of fans, and while most of those are joe-schmoes, I would hope and expect that there's at least a few political movers-and-shakers, or just men who are very rich and have gotten a lot of entertainment and comfort from her through however long she had them as friends. I'm crossing my fingers that she has one or more of them grease things behind the scenes for her.
I'm a little bit mad, even though I don't know her though. She sounds like as smart as she handled a lot of her business, she still made a lot of dumb mistakes. And meth? In a house with two newborns and basically a toddler--that's pretty shitty. I'm all for fucking your brain up but don't do that around kids. Still, I don't think that deserves the death penalty.
Crossing this with the mantra page: Everyone who is worried about her, come up with a mantra for her and those women like her in oppressive countries facing harsh hypocritical punishments, and having it be worse for being a woman. Say that mantra and maybe that positive wish to the universe might help in some small way.
My mantra:
She and others like her will be freed, or have their burdens lessened. She will have kindness, mercy, and a good plea bargain thrown her way. Women in prison situations like this will be protected, respected, and not abused.
I don't know, on one hand I really feel sorry for her and the death penalty is just too much for something like that. But on the other hand the drugs and the babies thing is just not right.

I'm with you Ashley.. I feel bad for her being arrested for camming. I think that part of it is retarted! The drugs though..that makes me cringe. I came from a home where my father dealt pot..it was scary at times. I feel sorry for her though![]()

I agree with those above saying a jealous female notified authorities.
When you are a beautiful, rich, successful European living on a massive estate with many houses, people are going to hate you.
A reminder to me: never underestimate the haters.

This is incredibly, incredibly sad and scary. I feel for her, I do.
I know a little something about the Thai prison system- I have a Thai pen pal serving a 40 year sentence in Texas who was thinking of asking to be extradited to Thailand to serve the rest of his sentence there. He asked me to look into how the prisons work there and let me tell you, it is scary. Unfortunately it looks like this girl is screwed.

AFAIK her home country and Thailand have prisoner transfer treaty. A few years ago bulgarian nurses were sentenced to death 3 times in Lybia then it was changed to life long prison. At the end they were taken back home to Bulgaria. But it took like 8 years.
That's a little hopeful, at least. I'm not familliar with her home country but I will say that from what I understand, when Thai officials do agree to send prisoners back to their home country they're usually incredibly slow about it. Slow meaning it could take at least a decade or more. It's just... I mean if you just do a google search about what life is like in the prisons there it's enough to make you want to cry. I'm not sure how strict the penalty for manufacturing porn would be in comparison but there is absolutely zero tolerance with drugs, and I bet the goverment will do everything in their power to keep this girl locked up for life.

Yeah this is very sad indeed. I'm leaving for England tomorrow for a vacay and Im full of anxiety. My heart dropped when I saw the title of this post. How can this be the same country that sales children to business men? I know this only because I have had custies confess to what they've done in Bangkok. Super creepy. For the most part I am a law abiding citizen but I would be too afraid to revisit the south pacific at this time. No matter what she did my heart and prayers go out to this woman and her family. After all she is a mere human being. Ugh it makes me so sick.
To be fair, it's really not just Thailand. Most countries have really backwards laws, and even many states right here in the U.S. have completely backwards laws. Like the SW member who just a few weeks ago reported that she's being forced to move out of her apartment because they suspected her of camming. The country I'll be moving to has a huge problem with child prostitution and human trafficking. There are no express laws actually defining child prostitution and pornography as criminal activity, but even though prostitution is legal, it becomes illegal if the act is performed in a brothel or strip club. Makes no sense really. So a guy isn't allowed to pay a 12 year old for sex in a VIP room at a club, but it's totally okay if he nails her in the back seat of his car. Things that make you go Hmm.
Just another reminder to be incredibly careful about the laws in your area. Especially if you want to move, do your research! Camming isn't really as under the radar as we like to think it is sometimes. Unfortunately sting operations like this do happen. There can be real penalities with camming depending on where you are. I'm just saddened that in this case the poor girl had the unfortunate luck of getting caught in a country that is known for having deplorable prison conditions.

So going forward I wonder how this will affect camsites and members in 'no no' countries? Will they start to limit the places that the steams come from? I don't want to go too far off topic or seem cold cuz I really do care. Its just that so many foreign studios set up shop on these sites and so much money is being made. In your guys opinion how long can this go on before the megasites say fuck it?
This just makes me want to punch someone in the face
Thailand, really?
The country of human trafficking? Concerned about camming? OMG the hypocrisy!
I can understand the drug thing, if she was dealing or something, but I doubt that, from my knowledge 3 grams is a small amount, not something you would find in a dealer's home, but what do I know, maybe I'm wrong.
I don't know the model, or what she did prior to her arrest, but I really hope she gets out of it somehow...

^ Yes, Courtney so true. (On a side note, I didn't know you were planning to move? That will be interesting and exciting, I'm sure).
This incident reminded me to be extra careful about safety, privacy, and stalkers. GR has a great, great, great thread about this here.
The next time I get creeped out by a "guy" asking too many questions, I will pay closer attention to my instincts.

This is true! There are still blue laws on the books in the states. No drinking on Sundays. Buisness have to close by a certain time or not open at all. Due to Sundays being the lords day. And also laws against sodomy. WTF? In regards to blue laws its very rare that people actually get arrested for this stuff. Now for the sodomy? It depends on the sexuality of the defendant sadly. But the death penalty? OMG Has anyone ever seen the documentary "Ganja Queen" Australian woman arrested in Bali for chronic. Sentenced to 20 years?

Yes! haha When I lived in Texas, Texans told me stories about the blue laws of the old days (buying pantyhose or makeup on Sunday was forbidden in their town). That one always made me smile.
In my state of CA it's still illegal to squeeze fruit excessively at the market. I better watch that.![]()
Just my $0.02 based on how I think, but I don't have any data or anything to back it up.
There are some countries that are totally fine with camming, some that are completely anti camming/porn, and those in between where it's technically illegal but officials usually turn a blind eye.
As far as the "strict no-no" countries, they already don't have access to cam sites. I have a friend in the UAE, a couple of weeks ago I tried to give him my MGF link and he couldn't access it even when he tried to go through a proxy. And MGF is probably the most tame of any cam site with their strict rules about no public nudity, no overtly sexual language in public areas of the site, etc. So for the really strict "no no" countries it won't make a difference either way because potential customers are already completely barred from accessing the sites as it is.
Then the not so strict no no countries where it's illegal but tolerated, I don't think cam sites are going to start limiting models or customers from those countries because as long as the model remains low profile it's not likely that she'll face any legal repercussions so the site won't have to worry about bad publicity. There's no such thing as bad publicity, right? And anyway, in any site I've ever cammed on the contract always states that it is the model's responsibility to make sure it's legal in her jurisdiction, not the sites, and the site cannot be held liable if the model is breaking local laws by performing on the site. So the site really has nothing to lose by accepting performers and customers from technically no no but it's not really a big deal countries. These big box sites are all about making money and if they can turn a profit they'll accept payment from anyone with a valid cc.
I think the problem in this particular case is that the model is very high profile and very public about her location. The more popular a model is the more haters she has. I'm not sure how the police were tipped off to her activities, could have been a jealous model trying to get back at her, could have been a jilted fan with a vendetta, could have been someone in her personal life, who knows. It's more than possible that someone just wanted to hurt her in some way and thought outting her for technically doing something illegal would be the easiest way of going about it. And then once the police were tipped and started investigating, ESPECIALLY once they found the drugs, they couldn't NOT do anything about it considering their hardcore stance on drugs. So now the model is screwed, but the site isn't screwed at all. MFC isn't liable, they're not losing money. The model's fans will most assuredly start spending on other girls once they see she's not coming back any time soon so really, the site has no reason to limit where their models/customers are coming from.

Oh christ this is so horrible, i just watched the news report. Fuck whatever she has done that you don't like (haters on ac forum for e.g.), and just think for a second, this could be you! She and her associates are facing goodness knows what out there. I hope she and they are ok.

Hey guys,
I'm actually from Thailand. I grew up there my whole life. Just to let you know how the country works, they do have all these strict laws against prostitution and child pornography and whatnot, but like most corrupted countries, if you don't know the chief of the police there, don't even think of breaking the law. Every country has their own idiotic laws. I live in fear in the US that people will sue me for practically anything.
In any case, what she did wrong was to boast about it without knowing any contacts. Any Westerners making money in Thailand has to be careful. Even my own father (who is French) has to deal with Thai authorities from time to time and he's in the jewelry business. I'm not going to deny that it's hypocritical that there is a sex industry going on there that is much less tame than porn, but living in Thailand, she should have known to be careful. She expanded too much and drew attention to herself.
Now, I do not think that she will face the death penalty to be honest with you. The only time it really goes through is if you were busted with a CRAP LOAD of drugs, if you talked shit about the King, or if you really were found guilty of child pornography. These Thai officials tend to say extreme things to get people to pay up. To be even more honest with you, I am not a fan of Thai officials at all. I love my country, I love its culture, but I do not like the people in power. Not everyone in our country is OK with prostitution at all. None of us want our kids to end up in the red light districts. The only reason why the brothels exist is because policemen turn a blind eye with the money that they are paid from these places.
With that said, I will always return to my country for holidays, and I do plan on retiring there. But I always ALWAYS will keep a low profile. So guys, don't be afraid to go to Thailand for a holiday. It really, truly is a great country and I personally am proud to be a part of the old kingdom of Siam. Just make sure that you don't break the law. The one sure way to prison is if you say anything bad about the King. Just don't talk about it lol. I'm sad for this girl to have gotten busted, I truly am. I'm thinking that it could have been me. I hope that she returns to her home country safe and sound.

Hawaii is the same ^^ Dont fuck around if you are not a local or now certain ppl.
Laws are different for locals vs non locals.
Anyways, I hope everything works out to the best of her favor.
This can be a life lesson taken to heart for all of us. Think twice before making a mistake
She probably thought that because she was by herself it wasn't pornography. Some people on this board would consider me a smart girl but I can tell you that I personally have no idea whether or not Canada considers live cam 'producing pornography.'
I mean, I totally get that they would consider C4S producing pornography but if I am live streaming and I am not recording my show I would of think that (right or wrongly) that it would be a grey area.![]()

Let me just say how happy I am for the "no outing" rule here on SW. You don't realize how much drama and bullshit that rule actually prevents until you see that shit in practice on other camming forums. Not pretty.

I do feel for her kids, that was just wrong but addiction will snap you up like that. Maybe I'm not used to Thai television but there's something about the pics and video on AC that seemed more staged than anything. I'm not dumbing down her situation at all as from what I know, (my friend did 4 years peace corps in Bangkok)and read here, the charges she faces are very serious but I dunno... I just feel something is off. I do hope she dodges the death penalty though. I just wish she would've made better decisions. She knew what she was doing and got caught but death to me is a bit much.
