Is it true that they would actually have a limit to how many non-White dancers can work at the club?

Sadly, yes, many "mixed" clubs place quotas on "ethnic" (most commonly black) dancers. This can either mean that only x amount of black girls can be on the roster, only x amount can work certain shifts, or a mixture of the two. For example, while my club will hire as many black girls as they want, they limit how many can work each shift so there are never "too many."

It depends on the club. At my old club in Albuquerque we didn't have enough black people in the city much less the club to be worried about how many could be working. Hell, we probably had every black stripper in town there.
I've worked in places where they didn't explicitly state they didn't want too many black girls working but the implication was there. I brought this up in another thread. I was working in this shithole in Lansdale where strippers literally go to die. It was near the end of my shift and I was getting ready to leave when the bartender (manager) on duty asked me if I could stay until more dancers arrived. "Why the hell d'you need me to stay??? You have more than enough girls!" "Well we don't want customers to see there is only one type of girl here and leave", the manager replied innocently. I looked around to see what "type" was around. It was an odd occurrence but due to some call outs it was all black girls working. Trust me that NEVER happened. The manager said they needed some "white girls" to stay. (I don't even LOOK remotely Caucasian) I was like "Um you do realize that I'm half Spanish, and #2 most of the old white farts like them, not me". I got my shit and GTFO'd. lol
"Fake tits are like Kevlar. They don't guarantee your chances of survival but they sure as hell improve it."

It's true. I just auditioned today at a club like this. The bouncers liked me, the customers liked me, but the manager didn't hire me. He said "they weren't looking for my type of girl right now". The only reason I can think would be because it was a baltimore club, they probably have a lot of black girls coming in to audition. There was only 1 black girl working when I arrived. There were a lot of caucasian girls there who were a bit overweight, were as I am not overweight at all. But there is nothing I can do about my skin color.

I know it exists, but I more often see black girls accusing the club of being racist instead of admitting that they weren't up to par. what is also really common is black girls auditioning in urban attire at an upscale club and getting rejected for that.

IME, yes and no. If a club have too many black girls who have an urban style and that's not their theme they tend to limit the number. If they don't have an urban style, they don't care too much.
if your black in NJ and Philly and you look like shit you probably won't get hired and if your white, hispanic, or whatever and look like shit you won't get hired.

Yeah, its really not fair to say that. I don't really have an urban style. I am an uber conscious of this as I know I am trying to go against peoples preconceived notions of "blackness". To be at odds with what people expect based on your looks is challenging. Always. I assume most black girls auditioning at these upscale clubs aren't stupid. If they go to an upscale club, they dress the part. Just like what anyone else would do for an interview/audition. Quotas for minorities are really, really out there.

If a girl is black and the club has too many black girls, they will not hire the black girl (unless she's a 10, she'll have some leeway), it doesn't matter if she looks "urban" or not. The "urban style" thing is just an excuse. What does it mean to look "urban" anyway? It's not an urban issue, it's a black issue. One of my best friends is black, dark skinned, and has gotten turned down from the white clubs and has been told, specifically, that they had too many black girls. So was this because she's black or because she's too "urban"? Hm... she grew up in a majority-white suburban city and was adopted at a very young age and raised by white parents. She doesn't have an "urban style," she has brown skin and that's the main factor of why she's been rejected.
There's no need to sugarcoat things. This industry doesn't care much about fairness. Black girls get turned down for simply being black, let's not put the blame on them for saying they looked too "urban."

you would be surprised, I see it happen way too often. at a few upscale clubs Ive worked at id say more than half of the black auditions made themselves too urban and got denied. you just cant wear most "stripper wear" (like neon leg wraps, certain cut out dresses, certain bikini styles, bad weave or shaved head) to some upscale clubs and booty pop during your audition and expect to get hired. I see other races get rejected for the same reasons but since a greater amount of black girls do it it looks like racism. again, not saying that quotas dont exist but ime they are less common then people claim.
especially when it comes to how managers treat girls. ive heard black girls cry racism when a manager is a dick to them and im just like...omg, hes a dick to everyone. sc managers are almost all evil and yes, white girls get treated like shit very often because thats the way the industry is.

Targeting black girls for "crying racism" because of how their management treats them is beside the point of this thread. The question is whether or not certain clubs have quotas on hiring black girls, and the answer is yes, most of the higher end clubs do. You can't hide from that fact by trying to change the subject to blaming black girls for "crying racism" or being "too urban." I have seen and heard club managers and agents admit that they are not hiring black girls at the moment. It is the simple truth as I've seen many girls here (of varying races) accept it as a truth as well. Obviously if a black girl comes to audition and is ghetto OR wearing attire that doesn't fit the club (which is being called "urban" here) she isn't going to get hired at a high end club. But let's NOT pretend that black girls get rejected simply because of their "urbanness" and not their blackness.
