So I've been making lots of content and took lots of new pictures because well.. camming seemed like too much hassle this week so I had "pyama and stfu I need more coffee" week.

I've got an HD webcam but it's one of the cheaper HD ones.
The quality is fine for camming and making content but we're having a massive arguement right now.

I want to get rid of those black bars in my videos because why I try to make gifs of the videos my gifs have black bars on them and that sucks.
I've tried everything, tried making test videos in every available size my cam offers to record stuff and then I edit it in windows movie maker but no results.

I don't know what to do I'm a complete video editting n00b and I'm in that stage where I'm about to smash my laptop in to 500 pieces if I have to try again without any succes.

Is there any way I can record or edit My videos so I won't have black bars without the quality going back too much?
(A little is okay but I don't want to look like I'm using a webcam from the year 2001)

Thank you all in advance with a fabulous looking cat.
