Wow thank y'all for your wonderful responses to this.I've really enjoyed reading them, and still welcoming more input and thoughts on this, whether people are pro-TV or anti-TV! All thoughts are very gratefully welcome.

So I don't do TV shows.. Hell, I don't even do gold shows yet.. But I would like to give my input on what I thought was happening with TV shows and maybe someone can correct me if they know otherwise.
I was under the full impression that the TV shows were only live streams of gold shows where the cam girl/boy/whatever had accepted to do tv shows. If it's just a live stream on a paid channel, I don't think they can have ANY interaction with us AT ALL and that's why they're encouraged to sign up on the website and get a username. Incantatious, your original post was talking about tips that the tv show people send during the goal show, but I don't think they ACTUALLY CAN send tips. So I don't think streamate is jipping you out of that 35%. I think if they do want to tip, they have to sign up, therefor their tips would be on your stream and you would receive 35%. If I'm completely wrong please correct me! I'm super curious about this.
That all being said, I'm not sure how I feel about TV shows yet. The idea is pretty cool as long as you don't have a problem with your face being streamed on live tv that anyone in the world can access without geoblocking. If they weren't offering people such low goals and inappropriate dollar to minute ratios, it would actually be beneficial. It opens up a whole new avenue for getting yourself out there. Plus it's a great way to make goals when the website is dead. The only thing is that you really don't know if there are 6 people watching or 60... But that's the business end of it. I mean seriously, streamate has to make money too. They aren't running a free business. It should be something that people are well aware of before signing up for TV shows.
Anywho, just my two cents about it (: I enjoyed reading the opinions on this post. Every one has super valid points.

I think I just double posted and I don't know how I did that. Sorry :/

This is why I accept T.V Goldshows. BUT I do think its kind of stupid how they have such a range on what to give you for your goal, theres been a few lately that Im like "damn really only $$$ amount? for THAT LONG??" I sometimes feel like rejecting it. I think im going to start, if I dont like what their giving me I aint doin it !
Also whats with the long count downs they set?? Damn

I got two offers for $110 last night. I rejected them both because even on a slow night I can at least get $100 on my own without being broadcast to unknown numbers of people. Sure it's not a guarantee but I can reasonably count on a $100 goal at any time. And if I don't make it, I usually get a pvt or excl that pockets me more money than the low offer would have.
I wonder how many girls are no longer accepting TV shows? After both times of me rejecting those offers, I checked the site for several minutes afterwards and did not see another TV show going on for quite some time. I wonder if they are having a harder time find models to accept? I only see a handful of the same models doing TV shows lately... During my normal shift there are two other girls who always work the same hours as me, and the 3 of us are in the TV spots most of the time it seems like?

The way I'm seeing it now:
I can do my own advertising and marketing to bring in new clients, in ways that do not mean that entire, full-length shows get broadcast on the TV internationally for people to view for free. Unless, you can find more creative ways to turn TV shows into a much more heavy-duty marketing platform, rather than simply treated as a regular GOLD show, just with added eye contact, and giving away your username and shit.
It isn't mentioned anywhere that members who join SM to view you will mean that your cammodels link will be put to that use - which would mean a much bigger chunk of that income would go to us rather than SM. Is my username and cammodels link plastered over that sweet TV screen broadcast for easy reference for the TV viewers? Or do I have to compromise my performance by spelling out my username and URL link as guys (many of which may have the volume turned down completely) try to fap to me spelling all that shit out trying to get them to sign up? Eugh.. I'm sure there is a way to make that alluring enough for guys not to just change the channel, but I don't think I can or want to pull that off when there are many other ways of bringing in my own traffic.
I actually have done the thing where I've given out my username during TV show countdowns. New cammodel traffic? 0.
Whilst I am completely open to the possibility that I simply sucked, if other girls can tell me they've seen a rise in their cammodel traffic since dealing out TV shows, I will continue to do them and take advantage of the wider platform for that reason. The higher percentage would be worth it for me.
So yeah - It'd be worth it to be to have my shows broadcast on TV for free if I actually had any increase in new clients come in via my cammodels link (but I haven't). If my username etc isn't already all up in that bitch for all to see, then that is a large reason that TV show broadcasts further plummet in value to me. The trend is certainly not broken: As with so much else, Streamate completely omit all of these details to their performers.

I saw somewhere on the internet that the website users don't really care about TV shows, because they can't choose the models. I understand that for us models the only advantage is to have the goal guaranteed. I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to sign up for this channel so I can see first hand how this TV shows looks like, before opt in. Does anybody have watched it?
