    Default Extreme fatigue!!!! Help!

Usually my sleeping schedule is very consistent. I sleep for almost exactly 8 hours a night and never feel tired during the day.

I have been absurdly exhausted since Tuesday. I worked Monday night until 2am and woke up at noon on Tuesday. I got up, went to the gym and came home. Then I fell asleep from 3 to 7pm. Then from 9pm to noon the next day!!! I took ANOTHER nap on Wednesday for like 3 hours and passed out by 8pm!!!! I woke up at 9 today and I'm still groggy and all my muscles feel soooo sore.

I don't have health insurance at the moment, my mom is gonna add me to hers she just hasn't gotten around to it so I don't want to rush to the doctors without insurance if I need to get a bunch of tests done or something.

before anyone asks, yes I eat healthy, yes I take a multivitamin and iron supplement, yes I exercise, yes I drink enough water lol

As soon as I get health insurance I will go see a doctor and get my thyroid checked but that's not an option right now. What should I do until then? I can't go on sleeping 14-16 freaking hours a day!!

Vitamin d, multi B vitamin, look into your amino acid requirements--tyrosine is good for energy, and up your iodine intake-- seaweed or iodine supplementation for adrenal support.

Came on suddenly? There's a cold going around that has very few symptoms other than a stuffy or runny nose and extreme fatigue. A touch of SAD perhaps? It's really not possible - nor advisable - to diagnose people over the net, so if it does not go away, you'll need to see doc to rule out usual suspects (thyroid, iron status, etc, etc) and take it from there.

If your muscles feel sore and it came on so suddenly, that doesn't really sound like a thyroid thing. I've had thyroid problems off and on for years, and the symptoms are really more subtle than that.

Like FG was mentioning, you might just be deficient in something.

But also like Will said... Not advisable to diagnose over the internet! Really, you're your own best doctor, anyway. Ask your body what it needs. Deficiencies manifest in the form of food cravings! Whenever I'm iron deficient, I feel like a fucking vampire for how badly I crave a rare, bloody steak. When I'm starting my period, I crave bananas to replenish my electrolytes.
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

I don't know if this is a possibility, but I felt like that when I was pregnant.

I felt the same way when I was coming down with the flu! Maybe that's what you have.

    B Vitamin Complex.
    Lots of Water.
    A good deep massage.
    Hot bubble baths.
    Fresh air.
    Fresh & Healthy food.
    Stretching.

A few days of rest/naps/deep sleep (no judgement! feeling guilty about it will mentally exhaust you so snooze to your hearts content, woman!)

You'll be good as new in a few days or a week.

yeah, I agree-- sometimes you just need to sleep. Makes you feel bad that you're not being as productive, but let go of the guilt and see how your body actually feels.

You might just be catching up.
