Default Is this normal? Online Application.

Just out of curiosity I was checking out the websites for the clubs in my area. One had an online application which was very basic with like 3 questions "why would you like to work here" and stuff like that.

But at the end it asked for pictures to be uploaded which included a head shot, a full body shot wearing a outfit you'd dance in, and a topless photo just in underwear. Seemed tacky to me.

I have filled one out for a club that has a lot of travelling girls. It asked for a nude photo. Why is that tacky? You get naked in person.

Honestly, that seems tacky to me, too. The only time I would ever consider applying to an SC online would be if I was trying to plan a long-distance trip to a specific club, and wanted to ensure I'd get hired there. If the club is in your area, and you want to be a dancer, just call and ask to schedule an audition.
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

never heard of that! its common for private party agencies but seems strange for a strip club. you really need to see somebody perform in person before making a real decision. maybe its to weed out the super ugly ones?

I've just never heard of it but it makes sense for very popular clubs to weed girls out easier. I just found it odd since I know of this club since its near me and wouldn't trust them even though there was also a disclaimer that said the photos would kept confidential.

I thought that was what an audition was for. Or if one is wearing a really skimpy outfit I think it's pretty obvious that they're in shape. I guess I have have this anti-photo thing ingrained in me from being with an agency in past. And from just being plain paranoid. I don't even have a FB.

They'll ask you to come in anyway, so they're a waste of time at best, laughter fodder at worst, and most likely just ignored and forgotten. While it's true that you get topless/naked in person, there's a world of difference between doing it in person and sending documentation about it. No way would I take a topless/naked photo for a strip club, especially for an application. God only knows what would happen with it.

You forgot fap material.lol Who knows what they're doing with all those. (The club has a very good and slightly bad reputation) And I doubt they actually look through them (except the pics) and call anyone back. Much better in person I think.

Wouldn't trust the managers at this club as far as I could throw them. (Shady as hell) I agree if you have to audition anyway what's the point of sending pictures.

I'd feel very nervous sending them an application with my first name and last name, phone number, date of birth, email, and 3 extremely self identifying photos.

this is fairly standard fare for high earnings potential clubs that hire a lot of travelling dancers. The photo requirement serves as an initial 'filter' as to whether it is worth club management's time to contact you.

IMHO, it depends on the club; if a well known chain wanted it, and they accept a lot of traveling girls, I'd have much more trust that it would remain confidential. If it's a single club, heck no.
However, I agree with shanna, in that, no matter which type of club it is, I would never, ever send out pictures of myself nude. That is just asking to bite you in the ass down the road when you need to enter the vanilla job market.

It's standard fare here to ask for face pictures and sometimes a full length body shot (clothed) just to see if you're pretty and not overweight by their standards, but it is a clothed or bikini photo... not nude.

    This makes perfect sense.

    ^Agreed.

The thing is this place only has one location it isn't a well known chain. Headshot and bikini shot seem good enough to determine if someone is attractive/in shape.

This is fine and I've submitted normal (bra & panty/bikini covered at minimum) photos to a club that hires a lot of traveling dancers, but it's the topless photo that I wouldn't feel comfortable submitted to anyone.
