Omg Logitech BCC950 Conference Camera

Is it compatible with Mac?

I'll chime in on this one..The Logitech BCC950 is a good lower end one with a remote, but I think it could be a lot better. Hopefully they will make some improvements to it first, then I'd consider repurchasing it. If you only offer shows at one angle, i.e. looking at the bed, and you want the ability to just zoom in on your privates, it may be a good option so long as you don't move it, bump it, etc... It is VERY sensitive (especially when mounted on the stem) and I was disconnected from shows several times, even GS on SM..not good! I thought I had a dud or something so I returned it, but after talking to a few other people, nope, it's normal.
So I'd say, if you want to be able to move around with your cam, walk from room to room, offer POV angles etc...stick to the logitech C920. I just keep an extra wireless mouse by my bed to zoom in and out with.

How often do you ladies usually replace your webcams? Once a year?

I have the c910 and it's okay. I bought the c920 but I can't get it to work with my computer. I think it's an issue with my USB port drivers being outdated but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to update them.

if you're talking a budget in the hundreds of dollars versus thousands, one of the most cost effective options is to purchase a TrackerPodIR to mount your digital webcam on ...
As far as top quality digital cameras' the USB3.0 revolution is arriving ...
... to list just a few. The limitation of all earlier generation digital cameras was that they relied on USB2.0 for transmitting frames to a computer, which inherently restricted the maximum image resolution / frame rate to something in the vicinity of 720p / 30 frames per sec. I would also add that the LogiTech C920 attempts to get around the USB2.0 bandwidth restriction by running image compression firmware right in the camera ... which helps somewhat on throughput, but at the 'expense' of a preset compression ratio, a preset contrast ratio, one preset compression algorithm, etc. which trade off image quality ( and especially moving image quality i.e. ghosting, sparkles etc ).
With 5 times the available bandwidth of USB2.0, USB 3.0 digital cameras are now capable of 1080p ( = 1920 x 1080 ) true HD at 60 frames per sec. I've had a Flea 3 for a few months now and it's unbelievable. Pricing is similar to quality HD analog cameras with top shelf video capture hardware, but the cameras are much smaller and there's no potential interfacing problems between your computer and your video capture hardware to deal with.
When it comes to zoom, it is only the analog cameras that are capable of decent zoom ratios without a loss of image quality via motor adjustment of the lens focal length. Digital cameras achieve a 'quasi' zoom by simply throwing away pixels around the edges of the digital image. If the digital camera had a marginal digital resolution to start with ( i.e. 720p ) then any amount of 'quasi' zoom will degrade the image noticeably. But if the digital camera has very high digital resolution ( i.e. 1080p or higher ), then 'quasi' zoom isn't as damaging to image quality.

I really love the c910, I think it has great quality and it will zoom if you use the control panel on the computer. I also keep a wireless mouse near by to zoom if someone requests it.

The best thing about the trackerpod is that it comes with the c910! As soon as I have to replace my cam I am investing in the trackerpod!
I was using the c920 and it worked really well. then my roommate's dog ate the cord so I went back to using my 9000. and all anyone could say was how much clearer I looked and how much better the new cam was lol. >.< I'm scared to get a new cam now

I'm on my 3rd logitech c920 XD, went threw 2 since January because of cords, whats the best cordless HD streaming cam? Or best one that doesn't have so many cord issues? (Under $200)

Logitech C910!

i use logitech c615 but the sound is crappy. does c910 or c920 have a good sound?

Where the C920 is concerned, this is most likely due to the preset compression ratio, contrast ratio etc. of the firmware video compression taking place inside the camera. The C910 and other cameras do not attempt to internally capture and compress video ... they simply transmit the data to your computer ... at which point the compression ratio, contrast ratio etc. can be adjusted for best overall image quality. The drawback of this approach using USB2.0 though is that the rate of 'raw' image data that can be transmitted over USB2.0 can limit your frame rate to a non-HD 15 frames per second or less.I was using the c920 and it worked really well. then my roommate's dog ate the cord so I went back to using my 9000. and all anyone could say was how much clearer I looked and how much better the new cam was lol. >.< I'm scared to get a new cam now

I currently use the c510,but will probably be buying a c910 or 920, as long as it is compatible with my HP
I had the Sony evi-d100 but didn't like it. The zoom and pan/tilt feature was great but no matter how much lighting I used it still had a dark gloomy/surveillance look to it. I just brought the c920, the quality is great but I don't like the coloring. Also the head of the cam is kind of annoying because it doesn't easily move. I like the 9000 best... the coloring is good and the head moves with ease. I just wish that it had the quality of the c920. I think I might return the c920 and just stick with the 9000.
Did any of you tested the c920 and C910 side by side, and witch one you liked best and why?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhyrgOUrDaY Just found this god comparison video on the C910 and C920. It appears from the video that C910 gives reddish, cooler hue, while the C920 gives warmer, golden tones, with better clarity. So the question is wich one does make you look better on cam?![]()
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFs-tZD4lqQ the same cooler hue on c910, and warmer hues in c920

Ive seen that video and I think its odd because the 920 makes me look pale and haggard while the 910 gives me a nice tan. May give the 920 another try now that I have different lighting. Anyone else prefer the 920 over the 910?
And what about that evi-d100 that everyone used to rave about? I always wanted to give that one a try too. I want to get away from using actual webcams because they suck zooming in and out but I also like having my cam sitting right on my laptop because it allows me to maneuver it better and I can sit closer to the laptop. I used to use a tripod and it didnt work out the same. I have horrible eyesight so cant sit too far from my laptop and I wasn't looking at custies enough. Looking right into the camera when I talk and play makes a huge difference and I find I make a lot more money when interacting that way.

That looks like an Orbit with a fancier base. I think the consensus is that the Orbit sucks, so I'm thinking I wouldn't spend any money on that thing.
Yes they do. I have used both (not side by side) but I do think the C920 has better sound. People I cam with have complained about sound when I used the internal mic, and when I switch to the C920 mic they say the difference is huge. Also I saw a review before I bought this cam where the lady said the sound on it was noticeably better than other cams she'd been testing.
