Default Do you think there's a big difference between looking 21 and 18???

This isn't getting on my nerves yet, I enjoy it, but I'm starting to feel like a vampire because people think I look under 18 lately *I say the past 6 months especially*. Some guys are afraid to date me and ask if I am of age! I am 21. A few months ago a girl and a guy in college both told me I look like a kid from high school. A guy today ask me at a pawn shop if I was 18 when I was looking at the electronics, guess it was some state law. When I was in my teens, starting at 14, people thought I was in my 20s... I was also obese. But now, people think I'm younger than my 19 yr old sister. am now I'm feeling like an imposter, and that I regain my teenage years lol.

Do you think there's such a big difference in looks from 21 to 18? I don't think there is, but people seem to know.

I have been on Retin-A since I was 19, and I try to wear sunscreen as much as I can but I'm bad at that. Lost weight too.

No. Heck, not even between looking 18 and looking 25 for some people (like my ex husband, he was 24 when I met him but he looked 17).

Nope. In the past, I've been 22 for 6 years. Hah! 18-24. Afterwards I started telling people my real age. It's a blessing to look younger.

True story, I met a 32 year old that looked like she was 19 or 20. Lucky bitch.

Some people age a lot in those years, and it's not pretty. They're usually the ones that look 40 by 25. If you're doing things right, then I'd say the only telling factors might be a change in style.

Is there a big difference between looking 21 and 18? I would say no granted the person is aging well. People all age at different rates depending on genes, environment, lifestyle, etc. A lot can happen in a 3 year time span though so its possible. My Asian friends who are in their 30s gets mistaken all the time for being in their 20s. I would say they look younger than they are because maybe good genes, they dont smoke/drink, and avoid the sun and stress. Sun is very damaging to the skin, more than most people know. But seriously, being a sun worshipper or simply being out there will catch up in 10-20 years. Considering I am tan complexion and avoid the sun, dont drink/smoke/not much stress I would say I am aging decently. Also I try to eat healthy the majority of the time and exercise. I would say OP, its a blessing to look younger than you are...dont take that for granted.

Honestly, while it's probably annoying at this age-you'll enjoy "looking younger" when you're 25+ . I used to be annoyed when I got carded at bars, liquor stores etc and now that I'm 24 I find it flattering. Make up can definitely age you, so look into that as an option (for work or going out) and the way that you dress can also alter how young you seem.

no. and consider it a blessing! i know it can get annoying, i have guys all the time saying shit like " why aren't you still in high school? what are you doing here?" but you will enjoy it when you get older trust me!! women spend millions collectively maybe even billions on looking younger, its a huge market..you are taking care of yourself which is the BEST and cheapest way to prevent aging, and don't stop! trust me, a girl your age who looks older is not attractive usually due to drinking, smoking, doing crack and sunbathing ick. i never got to enjoy my teenage years so i love looking younger! its almost like life has seen fit to give me a second chance haha
