Default Value of a second phone for work?

I'm considering getting a phone for work, especially since it is TERRIBLE right now, and thinking it may help me get some customers to come in and see me. Tips?

I know most girls in my area stay in touch with their customer this way and don't have an safety issues with it. I'm also wondering of how to tell if a customer is worth having in my phone or not, because a lot of the girls' customers flake out on them. I'm assuming that that's just something to be expected though.

Let me know what your thoughts are!!

some girls swear by the phone. At my club most of us give the club's number and the house mom tells them if we are working etc or we will talk a couple mins. If you notice when you give out your number a lot the guys think they have a chance w/ you or think you are interested out of the club. They will pretty much harass you by calling and start coming in less in hopes to get you out of the club or talk on phone instead of coming in spending money. Some clubs every girl contacts like this, but I bet they make less money. Plus if they call you while you are work there is time you could be doing a lap dance or in the vip. You might come off desperate to some guys too. They want a challenge and a stripper giving there number out is sending the wrong message. But it might work for other people. Not me. Done tried that, never again.

i use a prepaid to stay in touch with my customers. but don't give your number out to just anyone, i even had one very good regular that had seen me for a year harass the ever living shit out of me, and even though there were no safety issues it just got annoying to the max!! ill usually give it out once i've established they will be a good regular ( seen me 3 or 4 times and spent a good amount)
i'd maybe give out an email first that doesn't have your name on it or anything..

Google voice is another great option.

Most of my regulars are out of towners; I tell them up front that I only text. It is a huge asset for me maintaining my regulars; it also keeps me from double scheduling ppl to come see me.

I second the google voice, most customers sense an accent so they know I'm from pa but I don't live there but I chose a google voice number that's traced to like reading pa area so it's not bizare for them to see the area code & all & it's not easily trace-able (if at all)

From my experiences, I'd have to agree with pizzedoff... they totally get the wrong message! Sometimes, if I have an out- of- towner I will give my number, but even then, you have to be really, really careful who you give your number to. Most of the time, the customer has an emotional deficiency. That being said, they (most often times) expect us (the little jukeboxes of love) to pick up the slack for them, emotionally speaking. Wanting to txt for hours, sending you 58 texts and 14 voicemails (or something of that exorbitant nature), things of that nature... In the long run, it's just too much for me to deal with, and they get perturbed after they figure out you're still not going to go OTC anyway. So in conclusion I feel, in my personal situation, it's better for me not to switch numbers. I hope this helps a bit...

I keep in touch with customers by phone. I just got google voice but before that I was using my regular personal line and never had any real problems with it. Generally, exchanging numbers with a customer is just a wise decision from a business standpoint. You can keep in touch with regulars/big spenders and persuade them to come in and see you. As far as guys getting too attached, well when I first exchange numbers with a customer I make sure to express that it is so they can come see me again in the club - nothing more. I also don't talk to them on the phone, I only text them.

They will pretty much harass you by calling and start coming in less in hopes to get you out of the club or talk on phone instead of coming in spending money.
I have managed to avoid this by being SUPER careful about who I give my number out to. I will only give my number out to a guy if he spends a certain amount of $$ on me, NO exceptions. I don't care if he says "we'll do a CR next time," or "I'll bring lots of $$ next time!" Okay, cool, here's my schedule then.....when you come back and actually do that, THEN you can have my number. If I think the guy is annoying or might become a hassle, then he doesn't get my number no matter how much $$ he spends. For the ones who do get my number, I let them know up front that I only text (as TrophyStripper said.) If they start texting me a bunch and trying to make it about something other than work, I cut waaaay back on how much I'm replying to them. Like, maybe if they text me, I'll respond 5 hours later, or not at all. That seems to keep them in check, lol. The other thing is that I never volunteer my number to anyone, I only give it to guys who outright ask. Idk if that has helped at all?

Google Voice ! Just be careful. One touch of your I-Phone screen can connect a call using your real # . Be careful about handling your phone.
