    Default Synthetic hair extensions

OK, I am broke (don't ask - it's not so much that I'm not making it, but rather in a lot of debt) Anyway, maybe this is a dumb idea, but I cannot afford the usual human weave hair I buy and got a pack of synthetic for cheap ....now, my potential plan is to have this hair sewn in, just for two weeks until I have spare cash. So basically I wouldn't be able to wash my own hair for two weeks. I would use dry shampoo or preferably get an attachment for my shower and just wash my roots over the sink with a shower hose. Anyone tried this -- the most important thing is not to get the synthetic hair wet!! I only get two rows of weave with no braid under my own hair which is shoulder length. Thank you again.

Why don't you just glue it in?

I would do clip ins until you can afford good hair to be sewn imo. They have synthetic clip ins at the beauty supply hair stores I saw and the quality looked nice. Also gigi from shahs of sunset has a line of synthetic clip ins that can withstand heat too 400 degrees. Well they aren't exactly clip ins do a search and check it out!

If I were you, I'd probably just buy some clip in hair extensions. After you can afford to get your hair done at a salon again-you can just keep them in case it happens again

Do not order from bodybling! They're one of the main hair suppliers in the U.S. on ebay and I paid 96.00 for carp I couldn't use but they did refund me. The only hair seller I'd recommend on ebay doesn't sell on there anymore and her clip ins were 89.00. I've tried several and wasted 100's I'd just go to an urban hair supply.

edited because I just re-read the OP and realized she didnt request advice on brands, she has already bought the hair. Sorry! I was watching tv at the same time and attention was scattered.

you could try making your synthetic wefts into clip-ons

also, curious why you say you cant get it wet? I've never had a probelm with wetting extension hair, the thing is just to make sure you detangle and of course never sleep on wet hair so it wont snarl. you should be able to wash it gently and then air dry with a paddle brush

btw what was wrong with these? and do you know of any online places that are good to get human hair (at least 18"?) I would need the #60, the #613 is called platinum blonde but is always too yellow for me.

you can but it is not the same and will end up knotting , the shampoo strips it of the crap they put on it to make it soft etc

Really, you have washed synthetic hair? I did once and it tangled beyond repair. That was washing not just wetting though!

I had high hopes since glamour extensions quality went down and she stopped selling on ebay. We emailed back and forth and I asked specific questions about them and they sounded good but they came dry thin at the ends( like she said they weren't) had purple thread in them and I washed them to try to make them fluff up on the ends and they looked like a poodle. I couldn't straighten them or brush through them Nightmanre. If your looking for good brands glamour extensions/pro extensions same people use to be very good they are hit or miss. She gives me a good deal since I ordered for 4 years from her. I want to try hello gorgeous they come in like 200 grams but they have bad reviews with taking months to get to you because they are custom made. Lush extensions out of the u.k. actually come in my color( I'm limited to companies because I have chunky highlight/lowlight, I think I thonk I'm going to order from them only thing is 3-4 weeks . EDIT they are actually in Australia not the u.k. I;m going to watch more reviews on youtube and decide,

+1 for just sewing clips to the fake hair you bought.

I actually just bought a long wavy black synthetic wig that can handle heat up to 250 degrees from ebay for $20 & after I tricked it up ( trimming the bangs , ran the thinning shears thru it, & applied baby powder along with a volumizing powder to pump it up a notch) it actually looks great & just as good as human hair Look on youtube for tutorials bc I found that I can actually straighten out most of the unwanted waviness by applying boiling hot water over the hair 1-3 times to get it pin staright without damaging it & also apply some olive oil sheen spray along with a cheap gloss( got mine from sally's) over it & it looks just as good as an expensive human hair wig. Hope this helps I also learned not to detangle from the top, but to start at the bottom & work your way thru the tangles for less damage.

Sally's also has half wigs you can buy for about $30, I bought an 18" straight (with a slight wave at bottom) black synthetic one the other day & love it!!!! you just create a part or wherever you want it & clip it underneath your own hair. Had I known this I would not have bought the wig I mentioned in the above post ^^ Get creative!!!
