Default Customer Compliments that Make (or break) Your Night

I'm sure you hear "You're beautiful!" a thousand times a night so it doesn't really register much anymore - just cue "*flutter eyelashes* THANK you!! Would you like a dance??" Me, too.. but there are some compliments from guys that really, really make me feel good - even though it's probably a lie and he has most likely said the same thing to every girl who's sat down at his table that night! Anyway... mine are:

    "You're the hottest girl here!"
"I've been coming here for x years, and you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen!"
    "You have the perfect body!"
And the other day a a guy was tipping me on stage and he said, "Ah! You're a little skinny one, aren't ya?" Don't know if that was a compliment or not, but I've been trying to lose some weight, so it certainly felt good!

Also, compliments on my sense of humor.

What works for you? Also, what doesn't work?

I hate being told I'm skinny, I'm naturally thin, (sometimes a bit too but it's my thyroid).

It weirds me out when a guy says "I like you for your personality". I know they are probably just saying it to be nice, but then I start thinking 'do they not like my looks?'

I love guys who tell me they love small boobs, which I used to be so self conscious about! I also love getting complimented by female customers, it feels a lot more genuine and real.

    Addison you start good threads!

I like when guys tell me I'm a natural beauty -- given the fact that I am most definitely enhanced at the club lol
I also had a guy tell me how toned and fit I was the other night, when I haven't been doing ANYTHING to keep me that way in a while!

I hate being told, "You're way too smart to do this!" or, "You're way too pretty to do this!" I get that they mean it as a compliment, but first off, were they really and truly expecting dumb, ugly strippers? When they say this to me it just shows how much stock they put into that stripper stereotype.

I am an athlete so as I diet down for shows, my arm muscles & legs start becoming more defined so when I get a guy that just "gushes" about my curves/muscles it totally makes my night.

I don't know why, but when people comment on my super flexibility it makes me feel really good about myself.

Some old man told me I had "fantastic nipples" the other night.
    I couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes.

No but really, it makes me happy when they genuinely laugh at my stupid jokes, because that equals $$$, or when I catch the same guy staring at me for several minutes.

Ohhh! I forgot this one. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a compliment or an insult, but I work at a nude club and some guy asked me if I bleach my butt hole in the middle of my stage set. Hahaha. I wasn't sure what to say to that.

I always get guys telling me I look younger than I really am. so that makes me feel young and vibrant.

Plus one time I got a good chuckle when a guy told me "[email protected] you're the finest one in here! you need to start walking around here like you own this b*tch"

I never get tired of being told that I'm beautiful, or my eyes are beautiful.
Since I've come back to work, when I'm hustling and especially when I'm dealing with resistance I often hear "you're really good!"

Initially I took it as a compliment, they usually end up spending money on me. Now when I hear it, I smile and say thank you, but in my mind I'm wondering if it's a bad thing, because it means I must be coming across too sales-y.

In my defense, a customer I danced for recently claimed that he manages and trains sales pros and he said that I was very convincing and made the best eye contact he's ever seen someone have and really felt I was into him. ... Yeah the last couple songs he was just trying to convince me to come out and have dinner with him after work(which I politely declined)

I don't mind if they fall for me and keep telling me things that make me feel fantastic... so long as they keep spending money on me ; ) lol

Also you're the most beautiful girl here or the most beautiful girl I've ever seen works for me too.

"You're too skinny for my tastes." Yay! I've been trying to slim down, so that made me really happy, lol.

Sooo annoying, the back handed compliment...on the same lines as "Your better than this","why are you here?you could do anything you wanted".

    Very good thread!!!

Yes the back handed "complements" are the WORST! I had one guy follow me around all night only to flat out say "I don't want a dance from you ... I want to marry you." I of course just laughed and still encouraged him to get a dance but he wasted my time all night with fake complements like "once you have been dancing longer ... and you tone up MORE ... you will be AMAZING in this industry."

I am not fat at all, I am petite at 5'2 and 130 lbs and I do have slightly larger arms than I would like ... but honestly most guys seem to love my curves, so when I hear that kind of "complement" and still a refusal to buy a dance, I know it's a waste of my time and better to look at myself in the mirror and tell myself a hundred complements.

I love that they all guess I'm 22. Makes me feel good about not drinking much. I know it's sincere because everyone guesses the same age or a year off of it.

worst: "you're really good at this job, you should be in sales!" ummm thanks. so about that dance? lol "you have a nice body, you're not too skinny like all these other girls" or "I like women like you who have a little meat on your bones" wtf? no girl wants to hear this shit, even though I really think they are trying to be nice and are just clueless! Just the other day I got an odd compliment from a guy, he said I have nice ankles, "not bony ankles like carrie undewoods" LOL that was a new one!

best: "you are really beautiful" I'd much rather hear I'm beautiful than hot, as I feel almost anyone can look hot with enough fuss. "wow, you have great abs/legs/ass" I love being complimented on parts of body I've had to actually work for, as opposed to height, breasts, smile, ect. "ok, you talked me into it, lets go!" instead of mentioning how great I am at sales, why not BUY what I'm selling? that is the best compliment! also I LOVE when a customer admits they saw me earlier and wanted a dance and were just waiting for me to come around to them. or better yet, just coming up and asking me for a dance before I even get a chance to say a word! Isn't that just the best??

    ^Lol.

I've just died my hair blonde and the other night a guy said to me, "Wow-you look Scarlet Johansson!...except less clumsy!". I didn’t really get the clumsy part, oh well-I took it as a compliment anyway .

I had a customer give me an insult/compliment hybrid the other night:

Do you ever wake up and think to yourself youve gotta be an idiot to be as beautiful as you are and do this job?

I just smiled and said "No. Actually I never think that. Excuse me." And walked away
Unsophisticated in the finest sense of the word.
