    Dizzy Market Branding------->Pros and Cons

Hello I'm Pascal. *Warning this is long!*
I've lurked this forum for a while now. I'm currently a stripper but I've decided that it just isn't sustainable work for me anymore.
So I've contemplated new markets to expand to. One of which is escorting. I brought both of Amanda Brooks' books and scoured
the internet for all sorts of information on becoming an escort. A consistent theme and topic is marketing yourself and your image.

Or branding yourself. I've thought about the image I want to project and unique market angles. Thought about some of the things that
make me different. A little bit about myself. I am mixed black and white woman (but I identify as African American). I am 20 years
old. I study mathematics (but honestly I'm taking a year off right now). I am a gamer. I am fit while curvy (which comes off as fat when
I say it but I'm skinny with lumps).

Because I'm a mutt I've thought about using mulatto in my marketing approach. I see plenty of black girls in my area and they market
themselves as chocolate, ebony, mocha, etc. I don't see anyone in my area using this term though. I understand there might be a reason
for that though . It is sort of an archaic term, but I'm fine with this because I'm old school and traditional in my own way. I've also
come to understand it's a word with negative undertones. But it's one of the nicer terms I've grown up with versus high yela, mutt, halfie,
etc. I see it as something I can identify with and a differentiator in my market. So one of my possible names would go along the lines of
Mulatto *****. Or I can use it as part of my domain name etc. To be or not to be?

I'm also worried about admitting to my real age. Certainly youth is on my side but I also know from experience at strip clubs that certain
older gentlemen don't like young girls. And many clients might see me as immature (which I don't think I am, but really who does?). I'd
love to say I'm older, but honestly I don't see any way around this considering I'm not old enough to drink. How embarrassing would it be
to have a date at a bar or something then be found out!!!!!! To lie or not to lie?

Also my studies. I'd love to play up I'm Ms. Math 2013 but I only have up to 2nd year knowledge. Which isn't much. So while I'd like to
attract super intelligent men I know I could not keep up with super intelligent conversation if it is anything like math graduate seminars. You
just kind of sit at those make bets with the other undergrads on who will get lost last (Imagine King of the Hill and all the guys sipping, sighing,
and say yep[<----admitting to defeat]). Besides that I've been on the bench for almost two semesters. So the brain I could be proud of has
eroded by at least 67%. So I think this is a market angle best left off?

Gamer. Its niche. Not many girls play games. But in my opinion gamer guys in general are immature, narcissist, and cheap. Almost not worth
marketing to. Maybe? Maybe just say I'm nerdy?

I wanted to purchase my domain name today but I really could not decide on what to really market. So I would appreciate some insight and
opinions. Also I realize the whole tricky beast of not being spread too thin.

Thank you for your time. And patience. I'm sure I'll be back to ask more stupid questions.

    Pascal

Personally I dislike the word mulatto. Its extremely outdated with negative undertones. I don't think you should use it in your marketing, especially your domain name. You can casually mention you're biracial in your bio. If anything, play up the fact that you're very intelligent with professional awards. You can even mention that gaming is a hobby of yours.

I don't see your age as working against you. You sound like a smart young lady and extremely mature. Don't worry about not appealing to everyone. Even if you added a couple years to your profile - the gentlemen who prefer to book with an 'older' woman were never your core audience to begin with.

I'm curious as to where you live in TX. Some cities are better than others for work. You can send me a PM if you rather not post your location publicly.

Thank you for the reply! So I think for my domain name I'll just do the standard FirstnameLastname.com
It's a little boring I've read. But why complicate things? Keep it simple stupid is best right?

Keep in mind like a pro athlete you have a limited time in the business, if you 'add' years to your age now you may regret it later or have to create a new identity to 'erase' those years. I know 25 year-olds that claim to be 21 for that reason...

Thank you for your reply CFMNH44, I had read somewhere, I think it was in Amanda Brooks' books that some escorts have a few 'ageless' years. I wouldn't know from personal experience but I don't think men would actually follow a girls ads for a year and then say that she is suppose to be a year older. But maybe that is what happens. I don't know right now. And honestly I think its better to be older (and still hot) because in my experience as a dancer good patrons are sort of turned off by immaturity and age is a sometimes a determining factor. Also many men are grossed out by the fact that someone their children's age (or grand children's age) is naked or sexual for them. I had one regular who would always get dances from me while saying 'I'm a dirty old bastard'. It was kind of our thing to joke about it. Me calling him a dirty old man. Him saying eff it I'm too old to care about this. But underneath the joke I still felt that this kind of bothered him. I feel like this described most of my best customers. And I know I've lost business in clubs by saying my real age. I never thought of escorts as being like pro athletes. I kind of actually likened them to fine wine. You just got better with age. You have more funds to get more exposure and depth of character. More time to learn sophistication and you cultivate a certain savoir faire. In my mind if you invest in yourself intellectually and stay in the gym there is nothing to fear. An intelligent sensual companion is priceless. I just hope to get up there one day. Or maybe I am HORRIBLY wrong! I don't know this business so these are my speculations. I hope I'm not wrong though Pascal

I see your dilemma, wanting / needing to be older (21) now, but not wanting to be a MILF too soon... There ARE guys that study reviews and look for any discrepancies, study photos for any identifying marks, tattoos, etc. (and post results of their 'revelations'... ) This is why you should not wear any of your 'civie' jewelry, even naval piercing for your escort photos, BTW. Maybe post that you are 21 until you are 'really 21'? Also the 'dancer / escort younger than their kid's age', is why a few ladies have the tiniest landing strip down there, so as not to remind 'dads that have changed diapers'... Disclaimer: I'm a dude and really shouldn't be giving escorts advice / revealing 'dude secrets'... LOL.

Don't use "mulatto", "chocolate", "ebony" or any race label of that kind in your marketing. The exception is some advertising venues that ask you to note your race. Guys can see from your photos that you have a caramel skin tone. If they think you are beautiful and intriguing, they will book you. Market yourself as an individual woman, not a color. Race marketing dehumanizes women.

Gamer guys don't book escorts at 300+/hr, and even if they do, they aren't looking for a gamer girl escort, they're looking for a seductive sexpot. Most escort clients are well beyond the years where video games are a factor in their lives: 30-60 years old.

Show your intellect rather than stating it. A client can tell from your ad text that you are intelligent without you saying "I am intelligent".

Say you are in college and be vague about your age: "early twenties" vs "21 in March" or whatever. Men with money will be interested in a bright young lady, less so in someone who's underage.

    And forget gamer guys entirely, they are not your target market by a long shot. They have no cash and tend to be indiscreet. Trust me. ;-}

Don't overthink the intelligence thing, guys just want to believe their money is going to a 'needy college girl' vs a druggie that calls her dealer soon as they leave. If anyone asks deeper questions, you can say a math major, and joke that you contemplate Pi to 10000 places in your spare time of something. If you get the rare math major client that does know more than you, ask him questions and be enamored by his knowledge... Soon as the topic gets over your head, say something like but I know you came here to forget about work for a while, let me help you do that... ;-)
