check the dress code, and if there is none then wear what you feel sexiest and most comfortable with but of course make sure its clean and well-fitting. i'd go there and check out how the other girls dance, most of the youtube videos i looked up before i started weren't much help..every single stripper has to start a newbie so don't worry! just make a lot of eye contact with the customers, go slow and sensual and touch your neck, thighs, boobs, etc.
Well....If you are loooking into the Denver area it depends what club you want to go to because if you go to ..... La Boheme, Diamond Cabaret, Penthouse, or any of the PTs.....Tim- the owner- has switched the audition process to where you don't even get on stage and dance. You get undressed in front of a manager and a cocktail waitress down to your gstring and turn around and that's it. no dancing or anything. they say yes or no.
Diamond Cabaret is one of the classiest clubs in denver. it has some high class businessmen that go into there for sure. but deff one of the harder clubs to get in.
I personally work at Laboheme which is a really good club. it is small, everyone is nice. tattoo/some piercing friendly. cocktail dress attire
kinda the same with Penthouse, but it is bigger
when you say "dive bar" do you mean one of the really small ones that only have one stage and stuff? there are a couple.... but i mean, you might not make as much money there as you would other places. but its okay to start there im sure. i remember when i was really scared when i first started!! so i understand.
anyhow..... feel free to message me if u have any question or anything. good luck!

ive danced in Denver before. Id stick to like penthouse or shotguns or diamond. Shotguns has really good management so try there. Go see Matt on Thursdays. I think that's when he does auditions. Theyre also building a brand new building.
This forum is full of tips and answers to your questions. 19 is ridiculously young (you can't even legally dance in some cities!), you don't need a routine, and it's not that scary. Honestly, as soon as you get off stage for the first time you'll wonder why it was such a big deal. So just go for it!

I work at the Diamond Cabaret in Denver and really like it.
I work with a lot of beautiful girls and the competition can get a little fierce, but I make quite a bit of money at the Diamond.
I haven't worked at any other clubs before, though, so I don't have much to compare my earrings to lol.
As far as dive bars go, I would go for the Players Club... Stay away from Saturdays as I have heard some raunchy things about that club.
I auditioned in October 2012 and when I auditioned I had to go up on stage and do a three song set.
(first song in your dress, second song in your bra and panties, and third song topless).
I was so nervous!
All in all, don't worry about having a routine or really any "stripper moves" at your audition.
Just dance sexy and SLOWLY (something hard to do when your nervous,) make a lot of eye contact, smile, and most importantly, have fun with it!
The managers just want to see your body and a glimpse of your personality. They aren't expecting you to really know what you are doing.
You would be surprised how fast you catch on and end up looking like a pro in no time.![]()
Also, I auditioned when I was 20, if that helps you feel a little at ease.
As for what to wear, call the club you're interested in and ask them what you should wear and bring to an audition.
A simple short black dress (that's easy to take off haha I made the mistake of having a zip up dress during my audition and ended up asking one of the guys at the tip rail to unzip me.)
Two g strings, a bra, and a pair of your highest heals should do.
At least, that's what worked for me.
I also made sure I was tan and my hair n make up looked the best it could look.
Good luck!
Smofle,
I just started working at PT's in Denver about two months ago. I have been extremely interested in working at La Boheme and Penthouse. I dont know if you been or have heard about PT's but would it be a big change of scenery?

Are any of these clubs tattoo, curvy , and traveler friendly by chance??? Do you need a permit or license?

At the two PT's in denver we have many ladies with few to whole body tattoos. As for curvy women I am not sure. I myself am a size 10/12 with most of it in my ass and thighs. I am thick and was hired easily but have seen multiple girls with better bodies than mine be turned away. A few girls the manager told them they needed experience and atleast try a smaller club. (LOL I thought it was small club) and I had no experience when i started. And they are NOT traveler friendly but when applying just tell them you just moved here and have a fake denver residential address ready!

wow you & I have the same size body it sounds like. I'm tall though so I can carry it well, I'm sure you are as well if you're working thereyea I'd totally lie & say I'd just moved there & stay for a couple weeks maybe longer if I pass thru there. I always tell them I've got 10 years + experience coz it's the truth.
