Default A Possible Shiny Face/Forehead Fix

I don't know that this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it after searching long and hard. Maybe I'm derpy. Anyway, I finally figured out what to do, so here it is in case anyone else is suffering from the same problem.

I have a Logitech C910, and no matter what I did with it I had shiny face. My body even looked alien-like because I'm very light skinned (think Casper). I moved my lighting in every direction imaginable, finally settling on one table lamp behind my cam, one on my left, and a large floor lamp off to the right. If any of you are using cheaper lighting such as a floor lamp, and are also suffering from shiny face (especially forehead), try turning your floor lamp's shining direction away from you. At the ceiling, a wall, whatever. It will darken everything on cam slightly, but only slightly, and of course you can fix that in your cam settings and brighten things a bit. But yeah, no more shiny forehead or alien skin! Well, unless you want alien skin. I know that has to be a fetish.

Anyway, hope this helped someone. After days of struggling with lighting I'm incredibly happy.

I totally have rose colored bulbs on my list of things to get. I haven't read a bad thing about them.

yes! i always have a light in front of me pointed away so it bounces off a white poster, but today it leaned a little too far forward and i used half my compact of powder before i figured out why i looked so shiny!

I use an overhead light and two lights on the floor which I can switch around or change and bounce them off of the walls. Also, during the day I will cover the window from the natural light with a dark blanket so I look less washed out and it works. I did notice that on some angles my cam (which is the same one as yours OP) will be a lil wonky but I just edit the controls and fix my make up and I'm good. Sometimes my shiny forehead and nose is because of me twerking too much and not updating my foundation lol. I do contour my nose so it doesn't look too huge as it's not big but on cam it sometimes magnifies it.
