    Default Well, here goes nothing.

Tomorrow when I get out of class I'm driving straight to the club and asking for an audition. It has been literally years that I've wanted to do this, but I never believed in myself enough to try something new. Tonight I went in the club I want to work at but as a customer and one of the girls mistook me for a dancer...that was encouraging! Well I will keep everyone updated, and thank you all for your help!

What did you wear to the club as a customer to make them mistake you as a dancer? I'm about to go into a potential club and i don't know what to wear!

I'd be very surprised if OP wore something that looks like dancerwear to the club. I'd be willing to bet that club just doesn't get many female customers, so the dancer who mistook her probably thought she was early for her shift or something and just hanging out.

Wear something flattering and sexy but not overly revealing, like a low-cut top and nice jeans.

Oh my gosh, I failed the audition...because I am too FAT! I almost laughed when the manager told me because no one has EVER said that to me in my life. Like for real, my mother thought I was anorexic growing up. The manager's exact words were, "I want to hire you, you're good on the floor and I don't tell everyone that. But I can't until you get in better shape. Please work on that and come back." I'm thinking it's not because of my weight (5'6" 135 pounds) but rather because of my pear shape. I have super small tits, double A, and a huge ass and hips. The other tiny boob girls working there were stick thin, and the other curvy girls had big racks. So a more even distribution of weight must be the manager's personal preference.

I'm not upset at all, I am REALLY happy that I finally went through with it. I sat in the car for a few minutes before going in and just said to myself, "Finally one thing in my life I am not running away from". The house mom, manager and other girls were polite and straightforward, the customers liked me and I felt at home there. I am certain I'll find a place that will hire me even though this one didn't. Back to work!

I wore platform boots with sweater cuffs on the top, very short leather shorts and a see-through pink lace shirt with a black bra underneath. No makeup and my hair piled on top of my head. It was a very sexy outfit, but also casual. I definitely didn't look like I was waiting for my turn to go on stage. I do think it was because there aren't many female customers there, I was dressed like a sexually uninhibited woman and I looked comfortable with the atmosphere. I also got, "It is SO COOL that you and your man come here!" from another girl.

I really don't think it matters too much what you wear to the club to check it out as a customer or to get an audition. No one even looked at me until I got on stage, and no one recognized me as the same person who had been a customer.

Sorry to hear the audition didn't lead to a hire! There are always other clubs, so I'm sure you'll have better luck elsewhere.

He may not have meant you were fat, but there's the concept of "skinny-fat" which is when a girl is slim but out of shape. Or maybe what you were wearing for the audition wasn't flattering for your body. Try other clubs.
