    Default Holiday clothes help!

My rents have asked me to go on holiday with them-they really really want me to go so I've said yes.
I haven't been abroad in ten years, I'm just not that interested in holidays at all.... I know it'll be fun, as despite the age gap my Mum and I get on well on holiday, they're meeting their friends who live out there who are also pretty cool people so I know it'll be fun and it's only for a week.
    BUT!
I have zero idea what clothes to take/wear. It's freeeeezing here for 95% of the year. I do like to look nice but all my clothes centre around keeping warm-if I go out at night it's high boots and a coat and during the day leggings/boots/cute top sometimes with hotpants over the top... I haven't a CLUE what sort of warm clothes suit me.
I'm a (UK) size 10, quite short, not skinny but not fat, I've got good legs but a bit of a belly .... I also have dyed blonde hair that's really fine and flyaway-I've only just 'recovered' it from years of hair extensions- I know will frizz up to **** in the heat and I'm scared I'll spend the week stressing over looking like a tramp....I don't know what colours suit me either, most of my clothes are black or if I'm in I wear brightly coloured tanks and pj or yoga pants but I want to look niceon holiday not like I've just thrown something together!
    Any tips appreciated!

I live in the heat and humidity. Sun dresses are really fun to wear, and you can find them basically anywhere right now. Plus, they are often flattering for most body types. I wear them with wedges (make sure you don't get the really tall ones, because they get old with lots of walking) or flats, and I often have a light cardigan in my bag or car in case I go into a restaurant or something. I don't know what your thighs are like, but if you will be walking a lot, keep in mind that you might get sweaty and, well, chaffed. Might want to pack a cream to prevent that. Shorts are also good. I don't wear the super tiny ones anymore, nor denim really. I prefer something this length/fabric: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category...2107/82107.jsp I also tend to wear loose tops with them, usually of a boho style, I guess you could say.

For my hair, I either leave it in loose waves or put it up in a messy bun or braid. Fishtail braids are cute and easy to do. For makeup, I recommend light foundation to even your tone and concealer to cover anything major. If you use thicker foundation in the heat/humidity, it tends to look quite caked easily. BB or CC cream would do too, I'm sure. A nice coral lip and some natural looking eyes (a brush of vanilla shadow, tightlining, and mascara) will complement your hair without making you look trampy.

If it's going to be hot and summery, maxi dresses, baby doll dresses and wedge sandals can look very cute or simply some cute denim, tailored or "booty shorts" with a shirt or t-shirt would be comfy. As for your hair, I'm in the same position atm (darn blonde fly aways!) and I find that putting my hair up and sliding on a big pair of sunglasses does the trick (plus it takes no time, so you'll have more time to enjoy your holiday ).

Thank you everyone-I actually do have a sundress that I got years ago that I put in 'storage' at my Gran's , a red, knee length one that ties at the top and is really nice but I got it because I liked it and haven't worn much-I'll dig that out
I 've ordered some wedges, some navy ones with huge pink and orange flowers on and I have some leopard print ones that'll work for evening with black or something-but I spoke to my Mum & she said it's not *that* hot of an evening so to bring some trousers for evening so I'll take those. I've got a couple of 'glamorous' dresses as well so I'll take those because they take up very little room. It's only a week so maybe I'm stressing too much, I'm not that vain but I don't want to spend a whole week feeling like I look like shit!Lol
I've got some denim shorts, so I think I'll buy maybes one more pair of shorts and a bikini, maybe a maxi dress and something to throw over a bikini, and leave it at that-I've got some satin skinny trousers so I'll take those for night and wear different tops with them..... I'll be honest, I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe for one week of my life. It is really helpful to read what folk have said. I think I'll just take some good conditioner for my hair and plait it for daytime. I don't usually wear foundation but I'll take some powder so I don't look shiny!
Thanks again I know it's a dumbass trivial issue but I'm seriously clueless.
