Default Alot of questions inside, turned 30 this year and need help

As u can see I turned the big 30 this year. I look around 25 and want to keep it that way. I am a heavy smoker but have been switching between ecigs and will go the ecig route when I find the one. I know quitting smoking will be the best thing for me at this stage in my life....but I do need some other advice on how to fight the aging process, among other things.

I need to find a product/home remedy that will stimulate collagen. I do not have ANY wrinkles which surprises me but I notice my skin will not bounce back after smiling like it once did. As of right now, I am big into home remedies and switch between CASTOR OIL around my eye area and a Vitamin A cream by garnier. I have been using castor oil for sometime, and moisturizing with EVOO, this is my secret. I use alot of home remedies and they have not failed me.

On the darkside, I have always had combo skin. I am dry in some places, have acne in others. My acne has been a lifelong struggle, it disappears but then comes back...I know it is because of the food I eat/smoking. I try to eat as healthy as possible, but I know all of the hormones in dairy, meats, etc have something to do with this. I am going to start working on my diet and would like to try a cleanse. I think this would help immensely, as well as quitting smoking. Unfortunately, due to my acne (and backne) I have alot of hyperpigmentation. I only get a few spots here and there but lets just say I do not like to wear my hair up with a tanktop on. I have been using lemon juice, with results, but the results have not been satisfying me lately and do not happen quickly enough. I have been looking into other options, and would really like to try RED LIGHT THERAPY at a tanning salon. I notice when I tan my acne and backne goes away eventually, but I do not want to tan. I hear red light therapy can help with scars, anti-aging, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Has anyone ever tried redlight therapy?? Did it work?
If anyone has any home-remedies or a good product, please let me know

On the very dark side, I have always been a very hairy girl. I have accepted it, but I am tired of it. Every time I shave I end up with terrible rashes, nicks, cuts, razor bumps for days and it hurts. Due to this, I have only been able to shave my legs once a week, and thick long hairs grow out in the meantime. I would really love to have laser hair removal but it is unaffordable at the time. I am a perfect canidate. I have been seeing more and more products like the NO!NO! and TRIA and "home laser treatments" coming out. I have heard mixed opinions but I am very interested in purchasing something like this in the meantime. I know the only surefire way is to get real laser or electrolysis, but I will be happy if I do not have to shave and the hair does not grow back as full or for a week or so. I know many of these home lasers trick the user into believing their hair is not growing back, when in fact the hair has just gone dormant, and with regular use there can be a reduction, but it will never be permenant. Has anyone used any home laser hair removal products like the NO NO or tria and would you recommend it to others?

You sound like you need spironolactone which treats both acne and hairiness.

And here's a skin routine I go by.
    1. Retin-A (this is the ultimate anti-aging cream, prevents acne), and only at night because it's not good to use in the daytime
    read more here: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/30/fa...anted=all&_r=0
    2. Sunscreen (only use zinc, since the chemical sunscreens will cause free radicals on the skin)
    3. Generic moisturizer

and right now I am using hydroquinone for minor skin blemishes.

my skin is flawless (I had the worst acne in the world too!! nodules/cystic/eewwww)

i use red light therapy and its great! you have to make a commitment though, no off and on stuff or it won't work. there's a process of how much you should do for a set amount of weeks and then taper off to once a week. i do oil cleansing ( no washing my face with soaps or cleansers) and castor oil actually draws oil out and dries like crazy. its used for acne, not wrinkle fighting. you need a moisturizer with humectants like glycerine to trap moisture in..as far as i know avacado oil is the best for skin penetration and wrinkle fighting. i agree with geminix about retin A, go get a script from a dr/dermatologist, just be careful to ease into it and use sunscreen the day after big time! get glycolic peels, it stimulate collagen in the dermis. smoking is absolutely dreadful for your skin as you know, so yeah i would stop that asap or its just going to sabatoge all other efforts. i quit with the E cig a month ago finally, my skin is sooo much better already! also stay away from processed carbs and refined sugars and dairy as much as you possibly can..yogurts good for you but try to cut back on milk. unprocessed fresh foods will do wonders for your skin, you are what you eat and since your skin is the biggest organ in your body your skin reflects your health.

I have such a love hate relationship with ecigs... But I've been using them about a year, and done a bit of research on them. Last I checked, the brand that seemed to have the fewest amount of ingredients (and none of them super sketch) was the NJOY. You might already know this, but don't bother with the disposable ones if you can help it, especially with that brand. I can go through a disposable NJOY in less than a day EASY. I also have had a lot of problems with getting faulty ones and having to return them which is a pia. Go ahead and invest in a starter kit if you haven't already. It is so much more cost effective and the rechargeable ones last waaaaay longer. Now if only I could remember to keep them charged...

I know you said laser hair removal is unaffordable but have you checked Groupon?

I have never heard of this spironolactone but I looked into it, seems like it could help but I do not have health insurance. TY for this info tho I have never heard of it. I am looking into laser, I found a place here that you can make monthly payments starting at $12 a month, but if it costs over 2k, it will take you forever to pay off that bill at $12 a month. I am also looking into the TRIA but I am leary, it costs alot, but says it can reduce hair growth by 70%. Now I just need to see if anyone here has used it who can give me an honest review.

@simone...I love oil cleansing. I do this as well, but I get lazy sometimes and do not want to spend so much time just to wash my face at the end of a long day. Castor oil has so many uses, not only can it clear up skin but it does help with anti aging
How do you do the OCM? I do it the by the book way, mixing it with olive oil, letting it sit for a few mins. I steam with a wash cloth and do a final wipe with antoher clean washcloth and cold water. I love it but it is time consuming. I also sometimes use it as a mask, and a spot treatment I have also read you can combine the method with baking soda washing, so when I get lazy I just use plain old baking soda paste with a little water to wash. It can be a bit drying, but you can add/reduce water to come up with just the right amount of baking soda not to strip the skin of moisture. I also use lemon on any marks, but the results take time. I am all for natural organic home remedies, but they do take more time. It has been hell trying to find a spot treatment that does not have any silicones or parabens in it

Ecigs: I have tried a few brands that I got as samples at a convention. I really like the real feel ones I have tried, but they are disposable, and alot of them still have some pretty gnarly chemicals. I have researched but I have not found the one yet, the one with a good taste, throat hit and less chemicals. I will look into NJOY. Can u find these on amazon...I wanted to put a few on my wishlist lol, but when i type in ECIGARETTE not many options come up, and even those fake cigs from costume shops lol.

yeah the disposable ones suck!!!! i use green smoke but now i want to try NJOY..yeah i mix the oils too, usually olive oil and avocado oil because i paranoid of wrinkles! i never tried castor honestly because they said it was drying and anti-acne so i figured it would be too harsh for my skin so i guess i could be totally wrong

I know you mean well but I'm very suspicious of you in general.
