Two of my siblings have, and my mother has. I haven't, but I've had so many paranormal things happen that I couldn't even list them all. And not just ~*did that just happen???*~ moments, but rather concrete evidence stuff that cannot be explained (recorded EVP, things being physically moved, etc.)

wow, could you describe any of them? i'm very interested in spirit communication, having a hard time finding like-minded people who have had experiences also!

My sister and brother both died in the operating room, or actually close to it because they eventually woke up. This was at different times. She woke up, and said she was looking down at herself and saw the tools the surgeon used and heard what he said... which couldn't have been done if 1.) under anesthesia, and 2.) they need resuscitation or whatever. This was before I was born.
My mom's I don't really remember too much about, but it had to do with her dog. As a young child, probably preschool age, she was runover by her father's car, and he left her there. Her dog came and saved her. Picked her up and carried her to the door so her mom could see her. I forget what happened though. My mom has spirit communications all the time. She saw a grim reaper walking around before my brother died, and he had been coincidentally staying at her house.

wtf did her DAD run her over?? omg..

Creapy, your sis was looking at herself? I learned in nursing school alot of people get the out of body experience of looking at themselves when they are near death or close to it. Some people believe it has to do with the lack of oxygen to the brain but I think its your spirit attempting to leave the body, especially if what they hear going on around them is proven to be real. Like if you know what people said like the dr while you were "dying" scary stuff, I wonder why we do this and how long we stick by our bodies after we die. A grimm reaper is scary as hell, dID your mom mention to you she had been see in this reaper before the death?

yeah im a little scared to proceed with oujia boards..although they say like attracts like, so if you are seeking out/expecting an malevolent or lost spirit that may be what you get, but if you have positive mind-set and intentions you shouldn't attract anything bad. i always try to be careful getting too far over my head though!
i think spirits are like people, most are peaceful and harmless but others certainly have bad intentions and can hang on like a leach. glamour rouge, what were some of your other experiences you mentioned? if you feel comfortable talking about them here...

My mom has had plenty of near-death experiences. She must have nine lives AND a guardian angel.
She was never a heroin addict, but her fourth husband was. He relapsed while they were married and she decided to try it too. So she went on a heroin binge for a few days and would shoot it. She was shooting up in the bathtub (not sure why) and OD'ed. Her husband saw, carried her out of the tub, and laid her down in the hallway to try to bring her back. Didn't work, so he called 911. The paramedics came and she flatlined twice and finally came back. They thought they had lost her for good. The crazy thing is, she is religious and has this wooven cloth picture of Jesus herding sheep that says "Lost No More." Well, that piece of artwork was coincidentally hanging on the wall in the hallway he laid her down in, so the entire time she was flatlining and "coming back to life" she was directly under that Lost No More picture. I'm not particularly religious, but that definitely seems spiritual to me! Needless to say, she hasn't touched heroin since.
She's had another near-death experience. Her third husband was physically abusive so she went out and bought herself a pistol to defend herself next time he tried to hurt her. But when the time came, she pulled the gun on him but was too afraid to pull the trigger. So he grabbed the gun from her, threw her on the floor, got on top of her, pointed the gun directly into her rib cage and pulled the trigger. The gun jammed.
I've had a couple personal experiences where I thought I was going to die. I've been in two pretty bad car accidents. One was when I was a lot younger, like maybe nine. My stepmom was driving (she's from the Phillipines so at this time she was just learning to drive). We were on the freeway, my dad was in the passenger seat, and me and my two sisters were in the backseat. One of my sisters is in a wheelchair and her chair was not strapped into the locks that work as a kind of seat-belt for wheelchairs. My stepmom lost control of the car, it started spinning out and flipped over. I didn't have a scratch on me. I exited the van and witnesses were comforting me because I was crying and I told them that my sister was in the van in a wheelchair and that her wheelchair was not strapped in. The witnesses all became really quiet and gave each other looks as if thinking/knowing that there's no way my sister could've survived. Her head was stuck in between two bars in the van and no one could lift the chair out, not even the paramedics themselves. Then a random witness waltzed over and lifted my sister out of the van with ease. My dad went to go thank the man, and he was gone. My sister was fine.
The other car accident happened a couple years ago. Black ice, and we were in a small car. The car was literally wrapped around a fucking tree after it was crashed, yet me and the other two people in the car were completely fine. Crazy.

^^ orbs? never heard of that, I used to have this regular that came in and could do all kinds of energy stuff. He taught karate or martial arts, something like that and he could place his palm over mine and wave it around and after a few seconds I felt weird and felt this warmth coming out of me fallowing his hand movements. He also did this over my stomach and I felt the same "warmth" from me fallow the movement of his hand over my stomach. He told me it was my spirit or something like that, weird, he did this with other girls also and they said they felt it too. He said it took him years to be able to do this and he had to learn it. Have you guys heard of this kinda stuff?

yeah, i met this guy in west virginia out in the boonies, he was part of some weird cult-like group and he would put his hands on your palms and i can't remember what he said, but i lost all control of my body and this wave of total euphoria washed over me and i fell right on my back..happened to a few other people i knew, it was crazy. can't even describe it
Lol. Well the guy I met was a white acting black guy from illinois so idk if there the same guy but its gotta be the same method they both used. Its so weird whatever it is!
^^ My step mom did the ouija board thing back in the 70's and it told her she would have 4 kids and the name of her 1st husband and both answers ouija gave was right. She always says it lets bad spirits in and opening the door is not good so I have been to scared to do this myself cuz just the thought kinda creaps me out.

Noooooo thank you to Ouija boards! A girl I know recently lost her mother and blames one for opening up the portal and driving her mother insane.
I grew up in a haunted house essentially; I saw shadow figures, cold spots, etc all the time. Even now that I've moved out, horror movies put me on edge for days. I think I'm ultra sensitive to that stuff but tune it out unless reminded of it.
Near death experiences... I've cheated it a few times, narrow car crash misses mainly.
Other things I recall:
- I was probably 10 and at my family store. I reaaaaally wanted to go home. Now normally I would go home with my mom, who left first that night. For whatever reason, despite wanting to leave, I decided to go home later with my dad. We arrived home to find my mom in shock because while stopped at the mailbox, someone had shot through her passenger window. I would have taken the bullet straight to the head had I gone home with her.
- Around 15, I was all excited to go to my friends; my dad was to drop me off on his way to work. Again for some reason, no foreshadow feeling or anything, I cancelled on my friend 5 minutes before and went to work with my dad instead. He fell asleep on the freeway; we went into the landscape middle before I screamed and woke him up, causing us to shoot back across 2 lanes of traffic and somehow caught a break in it. He would likely have been killed without me there to scream.

that's weird about the oujia board experiences..you really have to build up a psychic "shield" when you're doing it

Oh wow, GlamourRouge, do you think your sister was experiencing a variation of anesthesia awareness(maybe it was prompted by being revived?)?

I wouldn't even mess around with it if I were you. There are non physical things in this world that we could not begin to understand, and there have been documented events transpiring around those who have tampered with ouija. Not to sound like a nut ball- but The exorcist was loosely based on a true story. It actually happened to a boy who I believe died during his experience, in Baltimore while the author of the book was attending University there.
Personally I've had a lot of paranormal and spiritual things occur in my life, luckily not a near death experience.
I am also totally interested in the subject, so I suppose I am more open to certain things.
During my stay at 2 different dancer houses while I was away working out of town I had what undeniably felt like someone in the room or just outside the room I was staying in. Later, one of the dancers at the club we were working at mentioned that she comes from out of town to work too, but she never stays at the dancer house because lots of girls have had experiences there, including herself and she believed it to be haunted. I later worked in a nearby town and a different dancer who also toured the same areas told me that a dancer and close friend of hers took her life a few weeks before while she was on tour. I wondered if it had anything to do with experiences I had.
It's really hard to explain what happened to me without sounding like a weirdo, but it was like there was electricity in the air, and it really felt like someone was watching me and could tell I knew they were there.
In the past I used to go on ghost tours when I was in a different city. After attending one in Chicago and barely sleeping the following night, I no longer spend time watching those paranormal shows and the like, I am actually kinda scared lol

^ yeah there are certain people i want to contact, i don't think ill go the route of the oujia board though it sounds too gimmicky, if that makes any sense, and has a bad rep..i do believe in possession ( and even if i didn't i would NOT take that chance) so im reading up and practicing before trying to contact ANYTHING..gotta be careful! astral travel is where i hear things can get the most tricky and dangerous

Ooh psychics! Can I go off topic for just one second to ask, do you guys routinely visit them? Is it just up to finding one that is actually psychic? I've kinda toyed with seeing one out of curiousity.
I also had a manager that was into Wicca and such things. She read tarot cards one day, and scared the bejesus out of me with mine and my boyfriend at the time's. They were both scarily accurate. I bought a deck after that but could never get down reading them (they made zero sense and I am also crap at shuffling cards). Does anyone have any tarot experience?
